I reckon I would have left it two inches shallower…

If I may join too? I built this aircraft using the Airfix FG1 kit when it was first released. Can’t wait to see it fine properly! -
Could be worse, could be using ‘like’…

Having a lie in on the first morning of 10 days leave and knowing that my boss is covering for me so won’t get the usual backlog of work when I return. Now, where’s the wallpaper stripper..?

When I was travelling and model building in hotels, I used a large plastic storage box lined with kitchen roll as a spray box. When not in service for spraying it served to store and carry all my stuff. Never had a problem using a small compressor, either. if I recall correctly from my Uni days, the sound of a compressor will be the least of your noise worries…

If you want to drop me a PM with a phone number I am more than happy to have a chat with you about scooters... I spent 10 years working for the MHRA testing wheelchairs and scooters and was involved in writing the ISO standards for a good few years.

Try the British Commercial Vehicle Museum at Leyland - I have always found their archivists to be very helpful.

I had one yesterday - wanted to take control of my laptop to correct some problem or other. Told him where he could stick the laptop. Unfortunately, I got a call from my boss about 15 minutes later to tell me he had received a complaint from our IT department...oh how we laughed!

Hogwarts Express, 1/48, Scratchbuilt
brianthemodeller replied to Bandsaw Steve's topic in Ready For Inspection - Vehicles
Sorry - as ever I am a bit slow with my comments. BB has made a fantastic model and I love the backstory. You should both be really proud and I hope the comments on here go a long way to addressing the disappointment of not entering the competition.- 34 replies

That is amazing. The only way I can tell it apart from the screenshots of the film is the lack of paint on the falcon!

Hogwarts Express, Scratchbuild, 1/48 Scale
brianthemodeller replied to Bandsaw Steve's topic in Work In Progress - Vehicles
I agree with the posters above - the decision stinks. However both you and BB should be proud of the model you have produced. Rather than worrying about a local model show, I think you should both bask in the worldwide recognition you get via this website.- 387 replies
