F-8E Crusader VMF-333 Trumpeter 1:32
GRIM REAPER replied to Koralik64's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
That's a big a$$ bomb hanging on each side! Outstanding work as always. It's refreshing to see what can be done to a kit OOB to make it stand out! You nailed it! -
Spruebrothers partnership new 1/32 Phantoms?
GRIM REAPER replied to GRIM REAPER's topic in The Rumourmonger
As successful as Spruebrothers is, I think they will have the capital to invest in such a project. I think where they would need help is in the research, development, and tooling phases. In my opinion, I think this is where the partnership with Phantom Phreaks is beneficial. -
Spruebrothers partnership new 1/32 Phantoms?
GRIM REAPER replied to GRIM REAPER's topic in The Rumourmonger
Looks like they are going all out on these kits. I wonder who will be doing the tooling. The price I am not concerned about too much. I know it will be high considering what goes into tooling these up and the level of detail they are proposing. My guess is somewhere around $250-300. Of course, just pure speculation at this point. -

Update. A partnership with Phantom Phreaks. A new company? -
Just saw this posted on facebook. Can anyone shed some light on this? Hopefully the link works. https://www.facebook.com/groups/215551215532252/permalink/1298332650587431/

1/48 - Douglas B-26K Counter Invader by ICM - released
GRIM REAPER replied to Homebee's topic in The Rumourmonger
This has been on my wishlist for years! Thank you ICM! Now, if you can just tool up a new tool B-26 Marauder to go along with this one! -
I was really hoping for a modern version, but this will still be welcomed by many.

My prayers have finally been answered! -
ICM is just killin' it with new releases!
-
From what I can tell from the somewhat grainy and blurry pics, this will be a nice kit! I may have to pick one up when it's available in the states.
-
I would buy at least three of them! Their Invader kits are excellent and the B-26 is about th he same size. Would make a lot of sense.

Convair B-58 Hustler (1/48 Monogram)
GRIM REAPER replied to Seversky's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Just awestruck at the incredible work that went into this model! If I may ask, how did you manage such clean scribed panel lines? My god, those are some of the cleanest and sharpest scribed lines I have ever seen! -
I'm sure tbe An-225 is the Revell kit. Zvezda released it in their own boxing not too long ago, if I remember correctly.
-
Except for the upcoming Blackbird, it looks like another very lackluster year.

Revell/Zvezda 747-8 engines

Yes. A luxury indeed, but quickly drying up due to taking care of my mother. Family comes first every time. -
Revell/Zvezda 747-8 engines
GRIM REAPER replied to Abandoned Project's topic in Modern - 1969 and onwards
I can't vouch for accuracy because I don't really delve into what is the most accurate. My bench time is just waaay too short for it.😆 But, from a buildable standpoint, Zvezda's engines are a lot easier to build. Revell's may be more accurate, but harder to put together. And trying to clean flash from almost every single fan blade is just asking for trouble. I have snapped many a fan blade trying to get them looking presentable. -

I'm building the 747 8 right now and it's simply the best airliner kit I have put together so far. Their 777 is excellent as well! Everything just fits so well! -

Zvezda's are a lot easier to build. That's for sure! -
Very nice build! One of my all time favorite aircraft!
