  1. Oh no! Another potential project goes south!😣
  2. Any news on this? The vendor's site (Modelar) no longer carries it.🤫
  3. Any news on this? The vendor's website (Modelar) no longer carries it!🤫
  4. I've been waiting years for this, ever since Trumpy put up some CADs on the interweb. One kit or six? GR1, T2, A, E, International? So many schemes to choose from. Recce pods, ECM, overwing Winders, Cluster bombs Drop Tanks, OOOH YES!
  5. Scale is 1/32 Revell Hunter F6 (Comes with 92SQN marks). Paint selected is Revell 51 acrylic Ultramarine Blue. BTW the Flightline etched detail set which I'm using is a bit of a pig. Very thick etching which won't anneal and is impossible to bend accurately.
  6. Derek, thank you so much. Sourced BS108 (Aircraft Blue) today, so I'm a very hapy bunny.
  7. Does anyone have the serials/codes for all the 92Sqn Blue Diamonds hunters? Were all the 100 gallon tanks all decorated with the white lightning flash or just some of them? If so was the flash on both sides of the tank? I believe the aircraft were all repainted by Marshalls before the first display season. Did Marshalls re-apply the maintainence stencilling?
  8. Removing the masking from the sliding blown section of the canopy it has SPLIT ALONG THE MOULD LINE!! Does anyone please have one they dont't want or know where I can purchase one? Muppetry spreads so quickly. It's the 1/32 scale Spit IXc.
  9. Eagle Cals EC#116 includes a full set of stencils and walkways.
  10. I'm preparing to build the Revell 1/32 F4U1A as a Corsair IV. I've researched as much as possible and I believe the following modifications will be needed. WINGS:- 8" removed from tips and navigation lights repositioned. 3 signalling lights and leading edge stall block starboard only. Upward formation lights (Blue) both wings. Rocket rail attatchment points (4 each wing). Inboard pylons both wings. COCKPIT:- Gas curtain behind seat, hiding radio bay. FUSELAGE:- No forward radio mast. 2 underfuselage VHF aerials. Black caulking around engine accessories panels (to prevent Carbon Monoxide entering cockpit). Intakes either side of rear fuselage for same reason. Blue upward ID light and red tail light. Also is there an after market cowling ring available? Please feel free to critisise my conclusions above, all sugestions will be gratefully received.
  11. It's an external mass balance, soon replaced by the aerodynamically better internal balance used therafter.
  12. OPEN THE BOX!!! Always. Excitement at the start of a new project. Reserch what's needed. Check how good/crap the decals are. How many reasons do you need? Michael Miles would be spinning in his grave LOL
  13. They're the same as the XIV. The XVIII was the re-engineered XIVe in the same way as the VIII was to the IX.
  14. For me as a life long RAF nut I'd give my top 5 as:- 1) Hercules 2)Lightning 3)Phantom 4)Buccaneer 5)Javelin The Herk is top because it's brilliant!
  15. Su15, Su17, Myasishchyev M-50 (what a beast!), Tupolev Tu-22M (Why no kit??) Proper aeroplanes.
