  1. Apologies for the total lack of updates etc., unfortunately the Feldwebel has had to make a temporary withdrawal due to the "High Command" ordering the clearing of the workbench (dining table) shortly after his arrival. However, hostilites will resume after "Operation Roast Turkey With All The Trimmings," hopefully.
  2. For Gods' sake, don't leave the instruction sheet lying around where she can see it.
  3. If it were me, I'd try just giving the eyes a dab or two of gloss varnish to give them a 'wet' surface and let ambient light do the work on catchlights.
  4. Forgive me please, but I have to say that this looks indeed like a ........ ......Naughty Old Hector... I'll get my coat.
  5. I know I said that I'd make an early Stug III, but then I saw this. Box pics etc when the kit arrives in midweek
  6. Try looking at this site. This guy models armour in all sorts of states of disrepair
  7. I'd say that you've got it bang on the money. Excellent work.
  8. I must have missed that thread. Pauls website is being upgraded and I couldn't see it on there, otherwise I'd have got some from him
  9. That's a suprise, it was working ok on Sunday when I ordered some
  10. A polite letter to the Curator of the museum detailing your points of special interest and the reasons why, also, offering to share the results of your research with the museum may help your case.
  11. Just found this linkage Review Here more linkage
  12. Try having a look for Airbrush Techniques on YouTube, there's bound to be lots of tutorial videos there. Hth
  13. Finished the build, apart from 3 transparent parts for the lights which I'll put on when I (eventually) paint it, in about 4 hours today.
  14. And that's as far as I got with this build, I had hoped to be able to at least finish putting the kit together by the deadlne but, what should have been a 9 hour shift turned into 14 hours, leaving me in no mood for modelling, which is a shame as I've really enjoyed this group build (we aught to do another one in a month or two.) I shall finish this up during the week and post the final pics in the gallery. Well done to all of you who took part and managed to complete, I'm impressed by the standard of what has been achieved in a short time.
  15. Oh no you won't, it's looking like I'll be the one with that dubious honour
  16. So far so good, it's taken about eight hours, all told, to get this far. As you can see, I've managed to bug'rup up the windscreen but hey ho! Going to call it a day on this for today, hopefully I should be able to at least get the build finished tomorrow when I get back home from work.
  17. A bit more progress The Chassis parts on this kit were warped so I've had to brace them with cocktail sticks And to top it all off I've been called into work tomorrow
  18. Back home now, time to resume the build
  19. Progress so far. Stopping now to go to the match, will resume on my return.
  20. Making a start, should be able to get a couple of hours in before I go to the match.
  21. This looks to be interesting, should kick off a few diorama ideas Linkage
