  1. Well, I think you've captured the essence of the real thing as seen in those famous photos at Horse Guards in 1942. Nice work!
  2. Wonderful! Congratulations on a super little build.
  3. The fuselage is together and cleaned up. I forgot how tricky it is trying to retain raised panel lines while sanding. For a brief moment I contemplated removing them completely and re-scribing but life's too short and besides, I think it's important to keep a bit of 'character'. 🙂 The cockpit tub can be fitted from below, and I'm wondering if I should add a bit of detail there...
  4. I'm having the same problem - back is currently killing me! 😬 I'm telling myself it's the 5 minutes with the weights yesterday rather than the five hours hunched over the modelling bench..😄 Looking forward to following along with the build...
  5. Sounds like a real challenge, but the result is very impressive, and unique.
  6. Nice work. The camouflage looks fine to me. I hand painted the one I did as I find masking particularly difficult in this scale. There's room for interpretation anyway, as while these vehicles were factory painted in the yellow/green/red brown schemes as shown on the original box art, no doubt there were plenty of variations in those last months of the war!
  7. Excellent work. It really looks the business. For me personally, decent Tamiya-style 'rubber band' tracks would work almost as well in the case of this vehicle, and make the kit far more approachable.
  8. Blimey, you're not hanging around. I think that's what the Luftwaffe would call an Alarmstart !!
  9. Very smart. Neatly painted and some very effective, subtle weathering. Welcome to the forum, too! 🙂 Ian
  10. I think you have the basis for a Coastal Command Mk.IIIA which retained the American turrets, except the ventral which was removed. Some OTU versions also lacked radar.
  11. Does that also mean a 1/12 Jacqueline Pearce (aka Servalan)? I'll take that over some grey jet... 😁
  12. Very nicely done, especially the crew and added details.
  13. Thanks, John. Yes, the Mk III is interesting but never seems to get the same attention as the IV - or the big cats, of course. Many thanks, Milan.
  14. I've just finished two small-scale Russian Front panzers. First is Dragon's PzKpfw III Ausf M, which was a bit of a struggle owing to baffling instructions and a few fit issues. It depicts a vehicle of 23rd Panzer Division and is finished in my interpretation of the 'Tropen 2' camo scheme that was fairly widespread in late 1942 (and which has generated plenty of internet discussion!). I built it in tandem with Dragon's PzKpfw IV Ausf F2/G, which proved a far less fiddly project. This one, in overall Dunkelgrau, represents a tank from 12th Panzer Division. Camouflage evolution - alongside my Miniart StuG III, painted in the familiar Dunkelgelb that became standard from 1943 onward:
  15. Top job! I especially like the views into the interior.
  16. My new-tool predictions/guesses: 1/48 Messerschmitt Me 262 1/72 Arado Ar 234 1/72 P-47 Thunderbolt But I'd much rather see: 1/72 Douglas Boston Mk III 1/72 P-61 Black Widow 1/72 Spitfire Mk XIV 1/35 Matilda Mk I 1/35 Churchill Mk (anything but a VII)
  17. A wonderful collection of models. I love the little Bren Gun Carrier!
  18. Here's the results of my detective work: An anagram of Le Mans is ANSELM. Dr Anselm Franz designed the Junkers Jumo 004 turbojet which powered the Me 262 and Ar 234. Anselm Franz later worked at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in the US, formerly known as Wilbur-Wright Field. Based on those tenuous connections, it's possibly an Arado Ar 234 or a Me 262 in 1/48. Time for a quick pint, Lewis? 🙂
  19. I like that idea, but some were still 'scratching their heads' when the link was revealed so it may be more cryptic.
  20. I love the box art. An old Tiger tank being given a hard time on the gunnery range, by the looks of it.
  21. Some significant improvements there. Excellent work.
  22. A beast indeed, and not something you see every day. Nicely done, Neil.
  23. Nice model! I like the subtle weathering of the paintwork on the upper surfaces, and the exhaust staining.
