  1. I like the Italeri Elefant. I have fond memories of that one.
  2. Nice to see another braille scale Tiger. 👍
  3. I have indeed. I'll be posting some pics tomorrow!
  4. An impressive beast, Stef. Looking forward to seeing the build.
  5. Terrific choice Pat! I loved this kit 'back in the day'. I remember platoons of them (and Jagdtigers) facing my Shermans on the school wargames club table, blasting everything in their path. 😀 And careful with those tracks!
  6. Oil paints, rust, post-shading, splatters, modulation? My first decent armour model was built long before these were a thing. Dry-brushing was considered the height of sophistication and Francois Verlinden was the modelling god. 🙂 I remember being very pleased with a diorama featuring the Italeri Panzer 38t and Tamiya BMW motorcycle combination because I won a prize for it in a junior IPMS competition. Happy days!
  7. Surely it's Robert Shaw ('Skipper') - he was quite a big chap. 😄
  8. Very realistic paintwork and weathering there. A fine model.
  9. Hi Adrian, I want to join in but I'm not sure if any kit in my stash qualifies, unless a flash rich, rivet strewn and mould distorted Airfix 'classic' qualifies? 😀 Thing is, I've got used to them being perfectly normal! Ian
  10. It's really come together with the paint on. Construction problems long forgotten? 😀
  11. Excellent result, especially that paint scheme.
  12. Terrific result. I have this kit languishing in the stash. Your build inspires me to crack it open!
  13. It's coming on nicely, and I like the green scheme you've chosen.
  14. No, it's interesting as I was wondering where the photo was taken. The crystal clear blue sky meant it had to be a long way from Blighty! 😄
  15. Well painted and the base is really good too.
  16. I initially missed this one too. Excellent work as usual, John, and full of life - both crew and vehicle.
  17. Excellent progress. That turret detail is impressive. Ps. I believe it's the loader's periscope on the left. The gunner is on the right in front of the commander.
  18. Thank you for that very kind compliment, Dave. I strive to achieve a subtle effect with the weathering, especially in the smaller scales.
  19. Great! Looking forward to seeing your build.🙂
  20. The Centurion is done and dusted. I was pleased to be able to use the decals, and I've applied a bit of weathering with enamel washes and pigments. Obviously, it's a kit of its time and pretty crude, but all in all a fun little project. And thanks @CliffB and @Corsairfoxfouruncle for hosting an interesting little GB! 🙂
