A stunning build, Nigel. Congratulations!

G&T New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc Peroni Moretti Pretty mainstream, really. Trying to give it up..

There needs to be a sub-forum: 'What's your latest purchase after a late night bevvy or two'. Bet it doesn't include any sensible but boring paint, glues or masking tape. 😉

That's good news about the Miniart tracks, as I've just started the Stug III. I've also recently finished the Vespid Hetzer. I was dreading the tracks but they went on ok, although of course they're a wee bit fiddly given the scale.

C'mon, John! Surely at least one Tiger was captured and repainted SCC.15 or OD? 😀 Stef - superb model as per usual. Nicely done figures too.

Everything AND the kitchen sink in that photo! I'm looking forward to this one.

Airfix ancient Hawker Hart bomber, 1/72
IanC replied to gamevender's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Beautiful! I love seeing these ancient kits done so well. -
Not the T-90 as I don't build modern AFVs. But I'm going to do the Vespid Tiger I in the Tiger tank GB here on BM. Not too much photo-etch on that one, thank goodness!

We'll done with yours. It looks good. The skirts are a classic feature of the Hetzer and I was annoyed that I had to leave them off.

Fantastic result, Stuart. And it looks great on the base.

Terrific work! -
My latest is Vespid's neat little late-production Jagdpanzer 38. A bit fiddly in places and the photo-etch side skirts with their miniscule mounting brackets completely defeated me, so after much choice language I gave up and left them off. I really wish plastic alternatives had been provided. The tricky camo scheme was hand-painted (and it shows..) but masking seemed impossible. These AFVs were very effective tank killers, especially when firing from ambush positions among giant paint jars...

It certainly is. Could pass for 1/35!

This will be my project. I don't think I've seen a more detailed 1/72 AFV kit! A lot of parts for braille scale - tweezers and optivisor at the ready: The internal and external detail is exquisite, and the kit comes with PE, a metal barrel and even a 3D printed muzzle brake: Three marking options - all Das Reich at Kursk. I may change that.

A Quartet ( maybe even a Quintet) of tigers
IanC replied to Marklo's topic in Panzer VI Tiger STGB 2
I like the Italeri Elefant. I have fond memories of that one. -
Nice to see another braille scale Tiger. 👍
-
I have indeed. I'll be posting some pics tomorrow!

An impressive beast, Stef. Looking forward to seeing the build.

Terrific choice Pat! I loved this kit 'back in the day'. I remember platoons of them (and Jagdtigers) facing my Shermans on the school wargames club table, blasting everything in their path. 😀 And careful with those tracks!

What was your first good model? This KT was mine...
IanC replied to GStreet's topic in Ready for Inspection - Armour
Oil paints, rust, post-shading, splatters, modulation? My first decent armour model was built long before these were a thing. Dry-brushing was considered the height of sophistication and Francois Verlinden was the modelling god. 🙂 I remember being very pleased with a diorama featuring the Italeri Panzer 38t and Tamiya BMW motorcycle combination because I won a prize for it in a junior IPMS competition. Happy days! -
