  4. Hi Eric, Thank you for your kind words. I was just going to have the cut outs were the panels go, but a gentleman on the other site said the same thing as you so what I intend to do is where the fabric goes on one side of the fuse I will make a mould inside and out, I have bought some clear resin and then make this part so it will been seen. I will then use the remaining front part of the fuse with the engine compartment open where the panels go. Regards Richard

  9. I have been working on my Hurricane for the last 8 months and have being posting WIP on another site, thought you might like to see what I have done here. Started with a Trumpeter 1:24 scale Hurricane and have done a lot of scratch building. First off I noticed the engine was not a Merlin XX so I added quite a bit of detail to make it some what like it should. I know the shape is still not right. This is what it turned out to be Then I changed the frame work on the engine mount Made the whole rear frame and rear strut Added the channels for the canopy More pictures to come later, hope you enjoy Regards Richard
  10. Hi Dominic, No worries, Just want to show you now that I have finished the carburetor how it all fits right to the air intake now. Edgar what scale did Rolls Royce send the drawing in? Richard
  11. Hi I am building the 1:24 scale Hurricane 11c by Trumpeter and I notice that the engine was to short and the carbureter did not line up with the intake so I cut and have made the engine longer, trying to make as a Merlin XX, cannot find drawings with measurements. Richard
  12. Hi Everyone, I am building a Sopwith F.1 Camel to 1:16 scale, I bought this model from Model Expo in the US, but things did not look to scale. I went on ebay and found someone was selling a book all about the Sopwith, The book is called Cross & Cockade Journal, The society of world war 1 historians/volume7/number1/spring 1966. In the book it has scaled drawings of the F.1 and also the 2F1. I have used these plans to build her to the right scale. I have scratch built all the wood, and tail/rudder etc out of wire to the dimension in the book. Richard
