    Nice to see you here Andres

    The Xtrakit model is a good representation of Double Seater Hunter, its made by Special Hobby for Hannants brand, the only things to be care are: 
     

    • The front wheel and leg is underscale, so you need to replace by aftermarket or copy the revell one.
    • the canopy needs work to get open position.
    • The kit is relative simple and with few details, so you can use all the resin available in cockpit, flaps and weapons to get a nice representation
    • Overall is easier make this model that convert Revell+PJ Production dual set

    The 718 in desert scheme is one of the most attractive Hunter ever made here and worldwide and the 718 had a unique history and rest now on our MNAE museum in santiago.

     

    The decals maybe be available in the future for worldwide customers, Miguel (CHM Decals) is working on that.

     

    Now you are on revell project, which Hunter will you do?

    It is not about who is going to invade us, we already have AEW with the Phalcon system but the platform (Boeing 707) is more than 55 years old, it needed to be replaced to preserve the coordination of the F-16 fleet.

    We still have differences with Peru (historical) and there is a lot of pressure due to the increase in drug traffic from Bolivia and Peru passing through Chile, so it is necessary to monitor the border 24x7.

    Finally, no matter how good the relationship with Argentina is now, we must never lower our guard, it already happened to us in the period 1975-1982 and we almost went to war.

     

    PD: We also have more than 4200 kms of coastline with heavy pop up of Chinese "fishing" boat fleet, so with all of above WE need the AEW Fleet.

    Actually the kit I use is Academy F-15K 1/72 but I use some part I printed from my 3d printer to make it F-15SA

    did you use two bobs decals?

     

    which parts did on 3D printer? lateral IRST and tail add ons?
