  1. Wow you've managed to make that look alot bigger than 1/48! A job well done
  2. I like that alot - Do them old novos go together ok? I have one in the stash
  3. I bet that paint scheme was a masking challenge? Great work
  4. Looks good from here. I have a couple in the stash that hopefully look as good as yours
  5. Thank you all for your kind feedback. I'm glad my modelling skills are progressing in the right direction. I still only consider myself a novice but by thunder did I enjoy building it. Which in my opinion is 90% of the hobby... Thanks again.. I can only advise that when you go for a difficult subject (and it helps to be passionate about it) expect it to go wrong a few times; but you also have a back up plan as I did (extra donor kit). I've also learned that it's ok to fail it at times but to leave it, think and go back and have another go. The only area that is not forgiving in the slightest is the windows!
  6. You're welcome and lol! I once had aeronautics explained to me by a ship's writer as the following: Whoosh = aeroplane/fast jet Woka Woka = Helicopter He was quite a character, he was very happy to hear what the term 'Zoomie' referred to, by us WAFUs hehe
  7. How did I miss this? Lovely work! I don't think I've seen one in the boxed scheme and that is well rendered
  8. I have a soft spot for hawks and I think yours is looking particularly Slick, nice job
  9. I'd love a crack at this scheme. More so since you've made a lovely job of yours
  10. Thanks again all. Greg: The Westland tail is slightly steeper and a little shorter. It might be enough of a difference but whether I perform the same operation given the small difference next time will remain to be seen hehe

  13. After spending the best part of 5 months building this I am quite pleased with how it's finally turned out. During my time on the 'Junglie Circuit' I cut my engineering teeth on this airframe: ZF121 from 772 Squadron then I met her up again on 846 Squadron. Where I worked with it in Northern Ireland I hope you like her There are more images but didn't want to swamp all the bandwidth hehe
  14. Thank you all for your kind words I am quite proud how this'n has turned out. Well just as an update I have now completed the extras but now the nights are drawing in I need to bring her to my Work's conference room that is quite well lit and clean for those all important photos. Will try to do this week end. I'm not sure Igor what it's made from but it's just standard 3, 5 and 13 amp fuse wire from ebay
  15. Wow Wafu! Check them babies out! Lovely stuff, thank you and thanks for sharing. @ Tim, Norman and Matt. Thanks for your kind words.
