  1. Would recommend using Flightpath set together with Neomega cockpit. I used both Eduard interior and exterior sets for my build. Not very good in my opinion.
  2. Came across this on MMZ. http://mmzone.co.kr/mda/docview.php?id=336
  3. Hope the following photo answer some of your questions. I'm sure there's other sets and models which have TER in them, but that's all I have.
  4. The TER in F-16 kits are not suitable for those aircrafts you listed. If I'm not wrong, those TER are specially design to use with F-16. Their nose fairing are design to conform to the shape of F-16 pylons Unlike older TER, these have additional fairings on the back as well as one filling in the void between the body and bottom ejector rack. They also have small sharp edged pieces infront of anti-sway braces. The TER you looking for will be those in fujimi kits and hasegawa weapon sets. (one of the weapon set include better detailed TER for F-16)
  5. Fujimi 1/72 A-7 kit has a pair of TER too. If you are looking for TER 9A, you can find them in Hasegawa 1/72 F-16 kits.
  6. The centerline bomb rack appear to be a modified TER which is bolt directly to fuselage. These pictures are from an exhibit in the RSAF museum. The assembly is not complete as the TER is missing a firing lead cable on the port ejector rack as well as the harness assembly which connect the TER to the aircraft. I have no idea where or how the harness assembly connect to the aircraft. The receptacle for the harness on a normal TER is on the top of tail cone which is under the rear attachment point of this hunter. HTH
  7. Took these from various vietnamese mig-21 on exhibit in Hanoi museums few years ago. Hope they are clear enough.
  8. Lovely work. It's beautiful. It's an enjoyment to see the 16 pages worth of work in progress.
  9. Thanks Dads203, James G and wadeocu The MDC is alps printed decal. It's not really good up close. The decal is thin but the clear surface of the decal has a texture which blur part of the canopy. Not sure if it's due to me not overcoating the decal with a gloss coat or decal solution. Can't manage to hide the decal edge too even after some heavy coating with future. By the way, anyone happen to know or have pictures of the inside of canopy? I added a frame in the middle of the canopy, wondering if there's any other prominent details inside there? Gerald
  10. Thanks Radleigh. I'm a technician working in construction sites. The progress of your Mi-4 is nice. Thanks Chris, I been following your thread on the RN buccaneer. It's Nice. Agree with you on the buccaneer. It is a painful kit to start. But once the fuselage is glued, the journey start to become sweet as it begin to take shape. How I wish there's a cheaper and easily available 1/48 buccaneer. I love to have a buccaneer in blue too
  11. Done some cleaning and touch up to the cockpit too. A fair bit of dust settles in it and I have problem cleaning them. It's almost complete except for the folded wings. I'm waiting for the hasegawa weapon set to arrive before I can start on the fold wing. Need the decal for the ecm pod in the weapon set to finish the ecm pod with outboard pylon. Most of the antennas/probes also need replacement and paint. Majority of the finer details broke off during the six months period since I last touch the kit.
  12. It's almost half a year before I pick it up again from where I left it. All the landing gears are now in place. I change one of the inboard pylon to saddle tank. Add some changes on the targeting pod form the kit, modify the ecm pod from hobbyboss a-10 kit and add some details to AIM-9 launcher from hasegawa a-4 kit. I'm not satisfy with how the glare shield was done previously, hence I rip out the canopy and redo part of it. Most of the new details are over size and frictional but they does help to make the area look "busy". Before rework: After rework:
  13. I might be wrong...having build Fujimi 1/48 A-4E many years ago, I remember it as a not so detail kit with raise panel lines. Never seen the blue angels kit, I can only assume that it's quality will be the same as the Fujimi 1/48 A-4E and T/A-4 kits. I will go for Hasegawa skyhawks. HTH, Gerald
  14. Thanks everyone for your help. Model alliance only provide inverted triangle in white outline. Guess I will have to use the original decal in the Airfix kit .
  15. Need some advice if the inverted triangle decal as point by the arrow exist on buccaneer during gulf war. Model alliance's instruction indicate there's white inverted triangle stencil on the pylon. Is this particular marking on both side of all pylons? I can't find any picture of that area which is clear enough to see the inverted triangle. If they are present on the pylons, are the inverted triangle also on the saddle fuel tank? Thanks guys, Gerald
  16. Such a beautiful model and presentation!! All those different colored components make it so much more attractive. Like the color you use for the base too.
  17. Thanks a lot for your help. So I guess it's safe not to add any extra stuff inside a 1/48 cockpit since the inserted pin in 1/48 scale will not be visible on the model. I have another two pin related questions. 1) I can't find pictures of the position for the chaff/flare dispensers' pin/rbf flags on the under fuselage. Likewise, I also have no idea on the position of safety pin/rbf flags for the additional chaff/flare dispenser on the inboard pylons. 2) Is the buccaneer require to be grounded when it's parking without any live weapons? Where is the grounding pin inserted on the aircraft? Gerald
  18. Anyone has idea or pictures of where the safety pins are insert in the cockpit and seat? Are the safety pins in the cockpit/seat attached to rbf flags? Gerald
  19. Thanks guys, thanks for the comments. Tony Frey, I also wish to get my hand on another buccaneer if it's cheap. The kit is retailing for a ridiculous price of around US$50 in Singapore. I manage to mess up the canopy in an attempt to rectify my mistake of spraying the whitish frame on the outside of the canopy. I'm taking a break from this kit for now. One more pic of the finished landing gears. The wheels are from paragon. In the meantime, I'm having fun making eggplane for this unfriendly little guy.
  20. Great scratch building skill. It's beautiful. Your work in progress pictures are helpful too...I still have a lot to learn.
  21. Hi Etiennedup, That's a beautiful buccaneer. The ladder and wheel chocks are a nice touch. Did you scratch built the ladder? Sorry guys, been rushing to finish this buccaneer for a local competition. Thus, the lack of update here. Despite spending a lot of time on it, I did not manage not get it up in time for the competition. Blotched up on the model too. I did manage to take few work in progress pictures along the way, guess I will continue to post them here Replace the air inlet on the vertical tail fin with brass rod. The small piece beside the tail fin is to fit on the fuselage under the right air intake. Add 1mm styrene rod. Not very accurate and still need some more work on them. My good friend generously gave me parts from his flightpath set for my airbrake. Not easy to use, but they are a big improvement over kit parts. Nose landing gear with paragon resin and eduard photoetch. Had not fit the landing light when the photo is taken. Neomega cockpit with some additional details. My neomega cockpit surface is very rough. Some of the details are also badly cast. In progress of spraying. The probe on the wing replace with thin brass rod and needle. I might redo this area again. Need to cut up and reposition the decals to compromise for the new panels i scribed. This is something I had not consider for when I scribe the panels. It's a lesson learned. Have to be more careful next time. Noseart after weathering and flat coat. Repaint the decal. Not good but that's the best I can do. I may resize the nipple. Friends are complaining that they are too big...haha
  22. Great work. It's beautiful. The color is very nice too.
  23. Came across some pictures of Singapore F-5S while retrieving files from old hard disks. These are taken from various Singapore airforce open house events. Hope these might be of any interest for you.
  24. Great job on converting this skyhawk. It's beautiful and the finishing is good. Very interesting store under the wing too. It makes the grey akyhawk look so much more interesting.
