Red Wine, partial to most of it, and there’s a superb stout up here called ‘Dark Side of the Toon’ which I will be enjoying in the sunshine from 1400hrs onward

I’m with TheKinksFan here. As a dedicated 1/72 modeller I have no interest in 1/48 kits, mainly due to space, however…..this may be the kit that tempts me to the dark(er) side. I’m in!

I really like that. What a pretty little machine, beautifully represented

I lived under the flight path. It was an event everytime it flew over. The noise prompted you to head to the window to watch and enjoy
Yep, me too. Lived about 4 miles off the end of (what was) 28R from the 60’s until I moved to Reading in the late 80’s (still under the flight path). I loved every single Concorde departure. Stopped to watch first commercial departure from school and my #2 son (now 30) was born at The Royal Berks (Reading) just as Concorde crackled over - magnificent (Concorde, not George who won’t be reading this!!!!!)

Will do my best to participate in NATO group build and I will, without fail start a model railway (N or TT120) after a hiatus of over 40 years
well, that’s the plan almost certainly doomed from the outset

Oh those are great @Swamp Donkey. A real help, especially with the antennae on the rudder and the paint job. Tell me...do you have a photo of the aircraft behind the SIAI in the third image? That looks intriguing. Many thanks.
Looks like Portland Stone, Desert Tan and a USAF Dark Green might do the trick for the camo.
Let 410”s as requested
A couple of funky schemes!

I’ll try and get to it this afternoon, if not it’ll have to wait until the weekend as I’m off down South for a few days.

Welcome to BM, and agree, it’s a little chilly here on the banks of the Tyne this evening

Lovely, one of my favourite aircraft ever for some reason. I seem to remember two or three of these living at Elstree in the early to mid 70’s and I was intrigued by them back then. I’ll take one of each of the G- machines please

Visited last year and agree with the comments above, it’s a fine collection and I thoroughly enjoyed my day there. And a big thank you to KRK4m and all those who volunteer there

Thanks for posting, as ever, Sven. They are good looking UH-1’s, but I spy one of my favourite aircraft ever landing in the distance!

Lovely collection of photos. Very many years since I’ve been to a Shuttleworth show, but fully agree with your comments about the overall experience - a delight!

The Herc looks fab, thanks for posting. The rest aren’t too shabby either. Shame I live North of the Tyne now (in an aviation sense) as these events are a little too far away

Couldn’t get inspired to finish anything from the shelf of doom, and needed something to distract me from my model railway layout. Really wanted to do an F.6 but my stock of those would appear to be in storage a couple of miles away. But the shed yielded 4 F.2A’s - why? Given such limited options they must have been cheap. Anyway, having already done green 19 and 92sqn machines, this will be a silver one. On reviewing decal options found a load of after market bits and bobs, so I’ve kicked off with the Eduard cockpit interior, anyway enough waffle
suspect not a massive amount of progress the rest of this week as I’m away for a few days, next week looks more promising. Looking forward to putting another of Gods finest on the shelf

I have some N gauge stuff somewhere from when I was a lad, how does this scale relate to that? How big (or small) are these carriages?
I know this isn’t comparing like with like, but will give some idea of scale and is just what I have to hand
at back, OO scale KFA container wagon 40’ and 20’ boxes
middle, TT:120 BR Mk1 composite corridor ERA5 coach
front N scale class 42 Warship

Recently flew SQ on various of their fleet. Although no new types, it refreshed the old memory box. A380, A350 and B787X. Marginal favourite was A350, and have always enjoyed the cabin space ever since my first ride on an AY machine

only my second car and a bit of a handful, especially in the wet, but I loved it
My current Golf GTi not too shabby either
