With apologies to the organisers of the Pacific group build at long last I've finished this offering of the Dauntless flown by Major Elmer Glidden with Master Sgt James Boile as his oppo in 1944.
This has many "firsts" for me:
First go with an airbrush, first go at masking canopies, first go at a radio comms wire, first go with modelmaster paints, the list goes on. I've enjoyed the build and discovered that I do like to take my time The airbrakes were a real pain as was their actuating mechanisms. I made loads of cock ups including dumping loads of overspray on the canopies and then struggling to remove it. Well here goes, advice is much welcomed, positive and negative of course!
Best regards all
Pete
