  1. A very interesting choice. Are you going for the colourful scheme?
  2. Great choices Paul 👍 I'm sorry, but every time I see the title of your thread it takes me back to when I left school (half a century ago). My best mate had moved away to start work in 'Feltham' and we found the name hilarious (it was the time of Benny Hill etc.), particularly as it was next door to 'Staines'. The fact that you're building a 'pair' is just perfect too! Cheers
  3. I've never done it, but would agree that PVA would be worth a try - it certainly works well on porous paper.
  4. This is fantastic Jeroen and, as you say, 'something different'
  5. A nice choice David. I've built this kit from its Classic Plane boxing and it turned out OK (albeit a little 'clumsy', as you say). I'm sure that your Franco-Polish markings will add some extra pizzaz though
  6. It's nice to see this one under way Peter (and I'm glad to hear that you found the decal sheet ). Cheers
  7. Where would we be without filler? Good luck with sorting out the issues.
  8. Congratulations again Nigel, this is fabulous Cheers
  9. Outstanding work JB, and the photos in the Gallery show off those decals to great effect! Cheers
  10. Congratulations on bringing this one in Stu
  11. C-47 Dakota Well, you wait months for a C-47 to turn up and then two come along together (and they're both called 'Kwicherbichen'). Mine is the 1/200 scale Hasegawa offering made OOB (although I painted the stripes on, rather than the using the creamy white decals). Here's a link to my build thread. Cheers
  12. Finished at last and photographed alongside the mandatory Humbrol tinlet for scale This 233 Squadron aircraft was christened 'Kwicherbichen' by it's crew - I spent ages looking for the translation Thanks again to James and V-P for hosting this mega event and to all of you who've supported this build. Cheers
  13. I've never tried a), but b) seems to work OK for me. Cheers
  14. This one will need to be displayed on a mirror for sure
  15. Excellent! I'm glad that you'll still be with us Cheers
  16. Hi Stu. Yes that would be fine (now I know what you're talking about ). Cheers
  17. A fantastic choice . I built one many years ago - hassle free IIRC, although I seem to recall there being an issue with the cockpit glazing (too few panes?). Enjoy!
  18. This is looking really nice John. Are the speedo and rev counter aftermarket decals? Cheers
  19. That's beautiful. Congratulations!
