  5. Thank you guys for your very prompt and thorough replies. To be honest, I hadn't realised that deployed flaps were such a 'no no', but I'm committed to that route now! That said, the finished model is destined for my son and I am sure he will appreciate the theatre of flaps more than absolute accuracy....... As an aside, my son lives on the site of the old B&P airfield on the outskirts of Wolverhampton. Rather nicely, the developer included some appropriate wall art (and a memorial plaque), into the estate . I'm off now to consider my options. Given that the cockit canopy is to be open, it might be nice to do the same with the turret........... Thanks again. Cliff
  6. I know this is not going to be any consolation Sarge, but from here that undercarriage looks just fine With the rotors and other stuff in place it will look even better! Cheers Cliff
  7. Hi All, I wonder if you can help me please? I'm building a Defiant at the moment and am struggling to work out what it should look like when standing idle on the ground. My model will represent this state (but with pilot's canopy open and flaps dropped), with no humans around. My specific questions relate to: 1) Turret position (which way should it face)? 2) Gun elevation (horizontal or vertical)? 3) Position of the fairings that are fore and aft of the turret (should they be up or down)? Google Images seems to show pretty much every combination, but I'm wary that some photos appear to have been staged. Is there a 'right' answer, for normal use? Any help would be gratefully received! Thanks Cliff
