  1. The paint looks very nice from here Pete After years of airbrushing, I'm gradually re-discovering the knack of brush painting (assuming I ever had it!). My personal favourite at the moment is Revell Aqua Color. Cheers
  2. 1959 Austin Healey 'Frogeye' Sprite This is the 1/32 Airfix kit, painted with Humbrol enamels (plus Alclad for the metallic bits). The build thread is here, if you'd like to see how it went together. Cheers
  3. Thank you George Well, it's finished now. Built strictly OOB - my only regret is using the kit's decals for the number plates. I think the font's a bit too prominent (you'll see that better in the Gallery photos). That aside, I'm really pleased with how it's turned out and I'm looking forward to my next Airfix car build, in the Golden Age GB! Thanks to all of you who have chipped in along the way.
  4. Yes, that's the one. Ex. Airfix, I believe. Thanks for the OK
  5. Would road going vehicles in BR livery qualify (I really want to build a Scarab sometime!).?
  6. It's very satisfying how these vintage vehicles build up (just like the real thing!) I've got one of the Miniart vintage trucks lined up for the Ukraine GB and am looking forward to it.
  7. I must admit that I got a shock when I discovered that you could no longer buy Alclad in Europe. I'm glad to hear that it's still there though, under a different (but more expensive) name.
  8. Best wishes from me again Fred 👍.
  9. Talking of which, how are they coming along?
  10. Great stuff Paul. The range of card models out there still amazes me.
  11. Really sorry to hear this. Get well soon 🤞
  12. Thank you @Courageous and @Pig of the Week The hubcaps are courtesy of Alclad
  13. Hi again everyone. Everything's looking much more colourful now I'll give the body paint a couple more days to cure (when it stops smelling of solvent), and then there's some contrast painting to do. The door cards are upholstery blue and part of the transmission tunnel is body colour. I feel that the end is in sight though! Cheers
  14. I'm glad that you finally got the fuselage together, although it was obviously a bit of a mission. I look forward to seeing your UV resin in action. Is it runny, or more like a paste? I've seen both recently. Cheers
  15. They do look a little strange, but hopefully someone can tell us what they are. Otherwise, everything's looking very nice, AW. 👍
  16. Very sharp. You wouldn't know that it's 1/144
  17. A fantastic choice Colin, and very different beast to the Vautour!
  18. You've just got to love that shape! Cheers
  19. That's outstanding, Adrian £4, well spent! Just one question though - how do you pick the model up now? Cheers
  20. I glad to hear that your new belly tank has turned out OK 👍
