  1. Not sure if this counts as photography but: Enjoy, I did. D2
  2. Cheers Greg, I've just PM'd you Paul
  3. Cheers Matt, had a quick look and there they are parts 8,9 and 18! I didn't even look at the sprues I just read the outside of the box, it doesn't mention GBU-38's. Thats a couple of gorgeous Vipers you've got there, I'll be grinning like a cheshire cat if mine comes out something like. I've just spent the last few hours researching the BAF vipers and I can't find a single photo of an ISAF jet carrying a GBU-38, although from experience I know that they do (although they are reluctant to drop them and will only do so if the 12's from both a/c have already been used). So I'm going to press on with my original loadout plans, except that I'm going to fit the SNIPER pod instead of the LITENING as this seems to be the one they use in theatre. I'm not exactly a stickler for details, the only things I really want to get right are the pods and ordnance so I think I'll stick to OOB for this one. maybe my future builds will be better representations. Thanks for the input so far guys. Take care, D2
  4. Wolfpack, Thats is a sweet build, thanks for the tips too. Did you post this in "Builds In Progress' by any chance? If so can you give me a link to the topic so that I may blatently copy your work, although mine will be a grey jet. D2
  5. Hi, I'm getting back into modelling after not touching it since I was a teenager. Over the last couple of months I've built a 1/144 F-18, a 1/72 100 series Hawk and a 1/48 100 Series Hawk. None of these were done seriously. I was just dipping my toe to see if I still enjoyed it. I did. So I've just bought a 1/48 Kinetic F-16AM which I am going to do in Belgian AF colours and with the current ISAF Afghanistan loadout, which is 1 x GBU-12 and 1 x GBU-38. Along with a couple of drop tanks. The reason behind this choice is because I have recently returned from Afghanistan where I was a Forward Air Controller, my first drop out there was a GBU-12 from a Belgian F-16AM. I have no idea which sqn was out there back then (it was Apr 09 - so if anybody does know I'm all ears). The kit comes with GBU-12's but no GBU-38, does anybody know where I can get a 1/48 GBU-38? I probably need a dozen to start with as I have an F-15E and a F/A-18F do eventually too. The kit also comes with a LITENING pod which is great but I'm not sure which pylon it goes on, I know its on the left side somewhere, probably on the fuselage I think. If anybody knows then I'm all ears for that one too. Other that the GBU-38 I'm going to do the kit OOB, although I could be tempted by some of the aftermarket exhaust cans I've seen around. If somebody can point me in the right direction for one I might just go for it. I want to try pre-shading and weathering for this too so any F-16 specific tips would be appreciated. I'm going to try to put this in the build in progress forum just to make sure that I actually finish it! I wont be able to start for about a month though because I'm away on a course, hopefully the first few build pics will be up by the end of March. I know I've asked a lot from you nice people but having looked at the forums everybody seems really kind and helpful so I know that coming here will make the build better. Thanks in advance for your help. D2
