green looks ok, no one can argument on the right shade of green used in italy in 1943-1945, that was the last problem at that time and very few reference. the color issue is quite common on italian modelling discussion and no one has the true in his poket, and it's only waste of time. It looks ok compared to the others color. this camo is an experimental and not standard one, should be done on the ground and not in factory. the camo is ispired to the camo used until the end of spanish civil war were it was prouved tath the 3 color scheme was uneffective. Germans than said 'nien nien use the rlm........'. (ANR was depending fron luftwaffe). It's impossible to determinate the right colors at that time.. colors on the model looks good, the only notable issue are the decals but we can live for sure, maybe also in italy not all will catch the difference. ciao

nice one. cool bird.

The model is very beatiful, unfufortunatelly decals are totally wrong. the external Ax of the fascio go always up, left wing is ok, right wing is mirror immage and is wrong. the same on the wing below, as mirror. The green on flag on the fuselage (il francobollo) always go first, also in this case left side is ok wright side is flipped, further they looks just oversize. same on the vertical fin. the insigna of 'gigi tre osei' squadron (that means 'luigi, tre uccelli'',S. Tenente Pilota Luigi Caneppele was an an olympic glider pilot, the 3 bird, that are stylized eagle, is a badge for a special level of glider pilot 'level C' ) is wrong. take a look to the centauro on vigna di valle museum for reference. Wethering is a bit exeeding, this plane worn that camo only for 6/7 weeks. in any way the model is very beautiful and effect stunning. Ciao from Italy.

most part of the german plane provided by germany to ANR, indeed the Bf-109 G & K, maintained on the wing the original german markings, while only italian plane, like fiat g-55 or macchi MC205 had the "Fasci" (a couple in a square) on the wing. You can also find a lot of mix of german/italian marking, or some german markings cancelled with some paint, the idea was to represent a second hand german fighters passed to ANR as most part of the BF-109 were. ciao Paolo

yes on the net i did not find anything, this is why I'm boring the people of this form with this question, such pod was used as ecm against sa-2 missiles on an abandoned bomber, these are old stuffs, no secret at all today, may be only hard to find.

Hi, the italian GURU of bf 109 of ANR say that there are no photo of the 109 on discussion. The profile posted is the most realistic, the split should be RLM 75/83/76, standard camouflage. Ciao Paolo

No problem, I'll ask to some people and they will rush to give the info need, I know my chicks....... back asap with the info, in the while here a good reference Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-14/AS della 1^ Squadriglia del I Gruppo CT "1-18" Standard color white Camouflage Ogiva spiral in black. Crest "Ace of Sticks" (asso di bastoni) on the nose. Overpainting in RLM 76 on the fuselage cross and swastika. No. 1 blue and 18 red hyphenated divider red. W.Nr. 780.356 in black at the top of the drift. Standard German crosses, upper wing white above in the black / white. Waiting confirmation ciao Paolo

Hi, generally on ANR BF.109 on the upper wing and lower wing standard german cross was keep without overpainting for identification purposes, only fuselage cross and tail swastika were overpainted. Only italian manufactured planes (like macchi 205 or fiat g.55 or reggiane re.2005) was wearing the standard wing insignia of ANR, (2 fasci on a black square, neutral pattern) Only few bf.109 received the ANR insignia on wings, but they are very few and generally only those of first batch received (mainly g-6 versions). In any way verde oliva scuro is a good choose, remember that in those days in north italy the respect of standard on painting was the last problem and do not make a lot of weathering on it, the standard life of those plane was very short. If you need further info I can ask to my friend in italy. ciao Paolo

Thank you for your comments. Very appreciated. For my model I take idea from a post on this forum, so may be is the post mentioned above from Jim Kiker, I do not remember, I save the photos for reference and not the web address, in any way it was a great help. I'm not sure to try to apply a grey filter cause have few color left and need for final painting of the windscreen frame and other things left, so no color for test.......and more of that for sure I think I'll do a mess......Next time I'll do a pink spit I'll use the suggested color mix by Jim Kiker. I did not take reference on this plane by international modeling publication. I have to admit that main reference on the color was the observation of a movie on youtube concerning a spit in PRU pink preserved in UK. I’ll keep informed of future progress, thank you again. Ciao Paolo

Hi to all, I'm new on britmodeller. I'm participating on an italian modeling forum to a contest on the venerable RAF here some image of a spitfire mk.IX PR in PRU pink that I'm building for the occasion. Just for reference the model is 1/48 hasegawa, spare decals and the PRU is a mix dome by myself and is not finish yet Any comment from britmodeller's users is welcome to improve my "Pink Lady" ciao from Italy Paolo '
