  1. If it aids your decision making process;the Hole In The Wall Gang did rather more than just Operation Chastise. The Tallboy and Grand Slam trips were

probably more meaningful in terms of impeding the progress of the enemy.

The audacity of the Dams raid, and it's effect of making the enemy think "Oh Crumbs! What else can they do?" was just what was needed at the time, but

materially the damage was soon remedied.

I still like the look of the Day Scheme on the YZ Lancasters, haven't made one yet though.

  2. In the past I have mixed a clear colour with Johnsons Klear. I then dipped the transperancies in this mixture. Leave to dry and repeat until you get the depth of colour you are looking for.

Pretty much what he said.Food colourants are quite useable too so I'm told.

  3. G'day Chums,

Please bear with my lousy photography.

This came my way a month or so ago,I fancied a change from my usual fare and this seemed ideal.

The kit is well thought out, well moulded and very crisp.

The Caunter colour scheme presented it's own challenges, but nothing a bit of digging couldn't sort out.Although he doesn't know it Mike Starmer was very helpful on this subject, having read some of his various jottings around these forums.I followed his paint mixtures as best I could and came up with a result that I find very pleasing.

I went for the individual track links instead of the vinyl ones provided, not as masochistic as it seems, and the 5 hours or so spent preparing, assembling and painting was well worth the effort for the end result.I'll not mention the half an hour spent with the carpet monster after I dropped the container holding the full set of prepared bits for one side.

I painted the fuel cans red purely for a bit of colour. The major paintwork was airbrushed, being as I acquired one recently.I'm not sure if I've overdone the dusty weathering though.

    I hope this passes muster,enjoy.
