Well the decal process has started on the demon and lets just say the Furball decals are AWESOME. The lay down with out a fight and NO CLEAR FILM on the decals. They are a modelers dream. Other decal companies need to learn from these guys !! Cheers Brian

Well she is getting pretty close to being primed. The main surface controls was a complete nightmare and pain. No matter if i dry fitted them in the open or close position the fit was not so good. I pretty much spent all last night get then to fit. Still no good fit i choose to just leave them a little bit in the open position. The ailerons fit was nasty. LOTS of sanding just to get them to fit. Looks like the was scaled a little to long and thick. After getting them on i noticed they seemed to thick and created a step on both sides of the wings. So pulled out the number 50 grit sand stick and went at it. So now I still need to do some touch up sanding. Well the canopy and canopy frames is another story for later Cheers Brian

Well another day non the Vixen. Booms go on pretty good, just a little filler work will be done using the Valerjo filler. Next will be a couple of days worth of cleaning seam lines up. Then after more parts are glued on I will figure how much weight to put in the nose. I REALLY hope they do a 1/48 Gloster Javelin soon Cheers Brian

Well i finally decided to start on my Vixen. The kit is pretty nice. Fit of airframe is really nice. I was not happy with the with of the top and bottom intake, so i decided to make FOD covers for it. The kit cockpit detail is really nice. I will be using True Detail resin seats . Cockpit was painted with Tamiya paints. Cheers Brian

Well time for some 1/48 Classic Navy jets. I always have liked the Demon and Skyray. So off with the Hobbyboss F3H Demon and Tamiya F4D Skyray. The demon is not a bad kit. Seat is to tall and requires some sanding on bottom so when installed canopy will fit. Front wind shield requires some finesse to fit to. Not a problem with the Tamiya Skyray at all, i am using the cutting edge cockpit on this build. Both kits will be decaled using the Furball Aero Design decals . Cheers Brian(F-104nut)

Here is another over year project finally done. Both kits OOB , under wing pylon and missile rail is from cutting edge . Both pitot tubes are from master model. Cheers Brian(F-04nut)

Well after giving it a thought i decided to redo the Danish emblems on the airframe and wings I removed them with tape. Started looking at other kit decal i had extras of, found more Danish decals . So i brushed on some future and reapplied the new decals. Same issues with decals not being centered , so again used another set. Same stinking problem . So found a aftermarket decal sheet and used them. So after re brushing future had a way better success . decals where centered and no white edge showing. I had to use smaller Danish decals on the nose the what was suppose to be the correct size, they are a little bit smaller . At this point i had spent 2 1/2 hours on six decals, So after airbrushing future and wash i was ready for flat coat the RESULTS WAS WAY BETTER !!!!!!. I am glad to have gotten them fixed and now am really prod of the finish. I hope to never do this again , kinda stressful . Thanks to Alberto's inspiration to fix them Cheers Brian(F-104nut) -
