  1. It's surprising how good these old kits can look (and hold their own against much newer kits) with a bit of effort and skill. Lovely job, looks really nice.
  2. Cracking model, I love the action that's going on, great photography too.
  3. I have both the Tamiya (not started) and Airfix (started but not finished) kits and my only comment is how much more finesse the Tamiya kit has. I am building a 1/32 Tamiya Spitfire that just goes together so well. So do what has already been suggested and buy one of each, you won't regret it.
  4. Lovely, the effect really captures the speed of the aircraft.
  5. Excellent, those are lovely and I rather like the SE5, personally I'm not sure about the 4 blade prop and that's probably because most models and pictures I see are fitted with the 2 blade prop. This is the first time I have seen a cord running from the Lewis gun into the cockpit, I didn't really consider how the gun was fired before seeing this. Great work, I really like them.
  6. Superb. Nice to see a few of these done and this with the open canopy. The cockpit in the pictures must be magnified by a factor of about 2.5. Lovely.
  7. That is a very nice build of a rather pretty aeroplane and I'm amazed how small the model is in 1/72. Beautiful.
  8. My "Old 20" is covered in rust but it is in the garage, I need to refit the starter motor though......
  9. Could be that the Pavla transparencies are for the old Revell kit, if you have set no V72-01 they are for the old kit, I don't think they do canopies for the new kit.
  10. I had intended holding off subscribing for a couple of weeks........but what the........that's another one. Too good an opportunity to miss, a chance for a Blenheim in 1/32.
  11. Who cares if they're not 100% technically accurate, it seems like you already know that anyway (I wouldn't). These are some great models displayed with flair and lots to look at in each diorama, I particularly like the Fw190 with the camouflage netting thrown over and the Mosquito covered in snow. Lovely work and thanks for letting us see them.
  12. Lovely job. I like the display for the photos, very eye catching. I too bought the series on DVD last year.
  13. Wow, that is one stunning model. Thank you for allowing us to watch this build unfold.
  14. Isn't the magneto the silver coloured item you can see top right? There are two, the other one is in the corresponding place on the other side of the engine.
  15. Roy, far from it. While my passion is aircraft and I only occasionally visit these pages I am interested in most things Citroen. Your build of this kit has totally captivated me and I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the build progress. The black and white photos could easily be mistaken for a car that has recently come out of the body shop. Truly inspirational.
  16. I'm really, really looking forward to getting mine. This model look absolutely amazing.
  17. It was a Buy it Now. The seller has an eBay shop and if a business he may well have sold it but not through eBay and so removed it, maybe?
  18. I am loving this, yet another iconic Citroen build. I have one of these kits in the loft that I bought a few years ago and have only ever seen one finished so it will be good to see this progress. This car was so futuristic when it was introduced in 1955 in both style and technology and is most definitely one of those cars that I love. Dad drove them as demonstrators for many years and I can remember falling asleep on the rear floor as a kid, the foam under the carpet was thick and soft and being front wheel drive there was no transmission tunnel to get in the way. I have many memories of these cars, my favourite was the DS21 Pallas first introduced in 1966 (I think). I still have the brochure that announced the launch of the Pallas model but it's a bit dog eared with some pictures cut out.
  19. That is rather nice, I have an original boxing that I bought to relive a bit of my childhood. It's nice to see that these are still around and such good value too. Even better to see them built and displayed on here.
  20. No one has mentioned the DH88, one of the prettiest little aeroplanes in my opinion, designed for a purpose and totally impractical and from the same stable as the Mosquito. Now I find sailplanes to be some of the most pleasing designs to the eye, they are sleek with their long, high aspect ratio wings and so graceful in flight. Yet I see airliners as some of the most boring shapes to congest the skies, funny that as most modern gliders all look very similar.
