  1. Wouldn't miss it for the world! it's my local, so there's no way i can miss it!!! Looks like it's gonna be a stunning show again this year!
  2. I have never really liked the Wyvern- thought that it was a really ugly bird! however, you've done a cracking job so far with this one!
  3. hi, just going to resurrect this thread briefly- I have just started building the Hasegawa hurricane to build BD707! great to see someone else has had the same idea! I wanted to do something as a tribute to Brian Brown, and thought what better than a 1:48 Hurricane to take centre stage in my cabinet?! It'll certainly be a departure from the spits!!! Well done on your one! looks really good!
  4. Hi all, Have been looking through, and was looking at the BoB Group build thread on here. Makes me sad that i finished this one outside of the timeframe. Here it is anyway... On 12th August 1940, Uffz Leo Zaunbrecher was shot down over the south downs. His aircraft, Red 14 of JG52 came down in a field at Selmeston, near Lewes, in West Sussex. It landed surprisingly intact. He had 2 kill markings- one for a Potez 63, and the other a Fairey Battle. Here is the plane in question The crash site. I used a lot of references from various books, which were invaluable. Here it is Engineer from 49th Maintenance Unit, at Faygate. The figures were a mixture of ICM for the Engineer and the dog, and Tamiya for the soldiers and farmer... The Tamiya ones are absolutely gorgeous! Superb detail! Thanks for looking!
  5. A thing of beauty! I've looked at this one several times with a view to getting it, but never got round to it! Think i may have to think again!!!!
  6. That's wierd- also saw G-HURR crash at shoreham and started building it today! I must say that i am very impressed with the rescribing- i haven't got round to doing some major rescribing, but i will have a go soon myself- I have the Airfix MkVb spit to do in malta blue. i'm watching this one with interest! A great start there tho! Keep at it!!! Don't end up getting tho!!!
  7. This is absolutely amazing!!! i have to say this is the best jag build i have seen- i cannot wait to see it when it is done! your level of detailing is something else!!! I am watching this with interest!!!
  8. That looks superb! i'm terrified by the idea of Vacform! Think i'll stick to injection moulding, personally!!!
  9. That really does look superb! i have built the revell GR1, converted to a GR4, but only in 1:72- and that was enough for me!!! Looks absolutely stunning! If only they would release one in 1:48 as a GR4... Would save a lot of work!!! This one is a credit to all the hard work you put in!
  10. Well, you know i am looking forward to seeing that invader!!! That mitchell has come out superb mate! I think that's one of the best i've seen from your workbench!
  11. I can only echo what has already been said! This has to be the nicest corsair model i have ever seen!!!! seriously well done!
  12. That's a really good job you've done there! I finished this one a while back, and took some serious fiddling to get it right!!! I see you need a bit more filler on there tho- there are some pretty glaring gaps you missed, just underneath the canberra... Sorry, couldn't resist!!! Matt
  13. Thanks mate! Yeh, been meaning to get over here for a while but not got round to it! A super site!!! How's the mitchell going? it's looking superb so far!!!
  14. Thanks everyone for your comments! I really liked the picture of Jan by his spit- it's nice to put a face behind a plane!!!
