  3. Just a heads up to anyone in the East of Kent that the Hornby visitor centre has the Vulcan to the sky 1/72 kit in the bargain area for £12.99. There was about 4/5 left when i left. If you use your Airfix club card you will get an extra 20% off. They also had a few 1/24 Spitfires, hurricanes and i think P51s reduced to 30 odd quid plus HMS Illustrious 1/350 for £29.99 Just thought someone might be interested Oh and just remembered, 1/72 TSR-2/ Stratos4 for the same price as the Vulcan or £10.41 with Club discount Bargain

  5. I use THIS great light source and now a bleeding good price. The magnifying is OK but you have to find the sweet spot.

  7. Ive been having a look and i can only find German suppliers from their facebook page. This is a German RC Car website who sell it. Just found some on EBAY but its sold out worth keeping an eye out for restock. Edit again, just found some more on Ebay but not sure if they will ship to the UK.
  8. Well after alot of faffing around i found a great iphone App (Via Britmodeller) called iModelkit. Its managed to calculate using Vallejo Model Air that i need 20 parts 046 Pale Grey Blue 6 parts 057 Black 3 parts 001 White The on screen comparison looks spot on so will try it out myself when i get hold of some Pale Grey Blue and let everyone know using WEM's Colourcoats as comparison

  11. Dymo tape all the way with a 6" metal ruler. Went to Staples and blindly bought some dymo tape but was the new Laser printing stuff GRRRR. Found some embossing dymo tape on Ebay, 2 rolls for about £4 with postage.
  12. Cheers for that. Might give it another try on some scrap card to see if it works this time. If not its going to be vallejo black and Klear for me again.
  13. Cheers Will but couldn't find much about it. Found out that Vallejo have a Acrylic Polyurethane primer that is supposed to be a filler so will try that.
  14. What did you use as your black gloss? I have Alclad black gloss but it never dries and i think it is, well, rubbish.
  15. I just use IPA but i think most people use good old washing up liquid and warm water.

  17. Well I've got Mr Surfacer 500/1000 spray cans and Alclad black, white, gray and honey. All very good and great to use BUT i need an Acrylic version for use indoors. Does anyone know if one exists that are as good as these? Thanks Turvey
  18. Can anyone recommend a good contour gauge as the one i got from Wilkinson's has fallen apart after the last few uses.
  19. Two weeks after the Valiant was released they still didnt have that in stock. I go to the visitor a few times a month to buy the odd model as you get 20% discount. I normaly head straight to the SALE section and get some good bargains.
  20. Ive got the Vulcan to do within the next couple of months. Do you remove the panel lines then scribe or do you scribe the lines using the excisting raised ones as an guide then remove the raised ones? Hope this makes sense! Cheers turv

  24. Well after a bit of research i have found that Humbrol 127 is a very close match. Anybody got any ideas as to how i can try to get as good as match as possible or is it a case of staying with Humbrol 127?
