Hi Uncle. Great selection of builds you made, I particularly love the Pirate and the Foxy Lady but then I'm a sucker for FAA subjects. Congratulations. Colin -

I did a little Google earleir to see if the kits are still available HLJ had them at Yen 640 a tenner elsewhere with 2 quid+ postage. Then Rotrokit in their Retrowing series has some update kits including cockpit deatail sets @ www.retrokitsonline.com Then on ARC they had an Egg Build, plenty of pics with some interesting conversion/scratchbuilds as did www.scalemodelnews.com Couldn't find anythign about the Otaki kits! Hasegawa Eggplane - Phantom - 892 Sqn FAA
heloman1 replied to Bonhoff's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Does anyone know if the Hasegawa and for that matter the Banai eggplane kits are still available? I believe the Hasegawa kits were re-released a copuple of years ago. I have the SR-71, the Shuttle and the Sabre part built in the stash along with hte F-4 I have an F-16 in Thunderbirds markings. When they first released I built the Harrier as a SHAR for a mate on 899 NAS. I never saw the bandai ones in the flesh, any input would be of interest. Colin -

heloman1 replied to heloman1's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
As I have a second Wessex kit which I used to make the HAS Mk1 parts, the folded tail rotor and folded main rotor, I'm waitng for the HAR windows and will marry them to the remains of the one kit to make an ealry HAS MK1. Glad to have you watching. Colin -

Hi Mike, this one is going to be a labour of love, I'll try and lead everyone into making a good Weesex for themselves. As for professional and no pressure, we'll see. A question if I may, I inadvetantly post two pics of the port fus in my post above, how do I delete this and then secondly how do I add subsequent pics to the following parts? Colin -
lookin' good. i'll be following your priogrss with interest. Colin

OOOOPs. Hi Pappy, didn't notice that one, thanks how could I, I'll post the other half later today. To The Woos question. Hi Ian, I'll have to get some pics of Ali he has all the bits unless I took some myself before I shipped the parts off to him. I'll have a dig. For those who may not know, I've made a folded tail section including rectifying the tailrotor gearbox housing/pylon leading edge joint a new PE grill for the top of the g/b housing and the intermediate g/b cooling air grill. A folded main rotorhead with corrected and added detail which will have the blade fold saddles included. and a rebuilt tailwheel yolk. I've made it so as to utilise the kit baldes as per the Lynx kit. So no floppy resinblades. If you all want to pester Ali I'm sure he'll send you a package. Are the Xtra Decals any good i've only seen them at a distance as it were? Colin -
An interesting subjet Enzo, not sure I would have anything I could build as a drone. I've already done the Hellcat and don't have an F-16 the latest victim, is wiffery allowed? Colin

Hi Tony. I may be wrong but between the old Frog (and I'd like to find one or two) kit the Airfix (for another TT) and one of the Eastern block Firefly's ithe subject is just about covered is it not? Well besides a brand new opne from Airfix to the same quality as the Swordfish and a few of the other new releases. Re showing my age, I think the Firefly's were much older, as non of them are around any longer, what a pity. Colin

Hi Graham, a tidy collection and superb builds, congratulations. You beat with the Focus, mines still under construction, shame on me. Thanks for sharing them. Colin

heloman1 replied to Steve Noble's topic in Ready For Inspection - Vehicles
Hi, Thanks for the heads up re the plates but down here in South Africa we have some quite unique styles. Each province has it's own background design and then each has a different font. The ones up in Gauteng the old Transvaal being the worst to replicate. They used to be (after the change) three letters, three digits the provicial crest and the GP (Gauteng Province) or after the crime escellation Gangsters Paradise! Now they have changed again two letter, two digits, two letters then the crest and then GP all on a white reflective plate. It's easy to print in word type the letter/number combination' then add the crest from a star and a red line for the Guteng lettering and yellow either side of the star for the two animals in the crest. I'll see if I can find an example in the vilage to illustrate the problem. The if you add in the 'personalised paltes...... Colin
