  1. I know it doesn't really make much difference but I find it better when the water is warm in terms of releasing it from the paper quicker. I might try a tea candle under a bowl of water
  2. Is there such a thing as a water warmer for when you do your decals? I find it a problem how quickly my pot of water cools down
  3. I'm making one at the mo and it's a great little kit, the fit of the parts is superb.
  4. Cheers guys, I know about the dreaded red crowbar, and I love the good old Citadels too But don't have to worry about the crowbar on this one it's only Airfix 1/72, but thought I'd check the stencil situation out to be safe. You're not wrong Tony that is huge!
  5. What did you glue the PE parts to the windscreen with? How did you get on shaping it? I've got one to do and I've been wondering about that bit! Super job so far by the way!
  6. I say bombs, but I looked at it and it's got an ecm pod, laser pod, slipper tank and a sidewinder.
  7. I used that set, it's good, well worth getting
  8. Hello folks I'm making a MkIX Spitfire and I'll soon be putting the decals on. I'm not sure wether to put the 'walk outboard' lines over the roundels, I assume so but thought I'd ask. Thanks, Andy
  9. Yep, I did this aircraft with the airfix kit using Modeldecal set 110 many moons ago, thay have an XX, now I can't believe you can just get it out of the box after all the hunting about I did for the right bombs and ecm pod etc! Hahaha! I got the Airwaves etched set and it really sorts out the cockpit, you can do an open airbrake too which I did but it's fiddly!
  10. I made the 9 first and really enjoyed making it, I normally do larger scale jets! I thought I'd do the PR19 too, so was chuffed when I saw the cockpit parts! The tiny pilots are a bit wierd though!
  11. The Mk9 doesn't have the cockpit detail the PR19 does though unfortunately Shame
  12. That's an absolute beaut! I love a nice A-10 and that's a nice A-10
  13. I was thinking of getting those bits for mine, I expect they're worth getting.
  14. Good work, as a local to Mildenhall chap I'm loving that, one coming my way this week for my birthday, looking forward to getting it made! Did you make the cargo door net yourself or is it from the Airwaves etch set?
  15. My friend bought one and it looked terrible, so it went straight back to where it came from- ebay!
  16. the Aviation Workshop do some good looking resin bits www.theaviationworkshop.co.uk bombs, drop tanks, refuelling probe (looks a bit like a Tornado probe)
  17. I'd get a Revell one, the plastic's a lot better to work with than the Matchbox one, the green is especially strange!
  18. Czech Master do them and lots of other TSR2 bits, this link shows all the 1/72 stuff at Hannants http://www.hannants.co.uk/search/index.php...p;NUMPERPAGE=25 Hope that's handy Regards, Andy
