  1. Well this is my progress so far over the last week Cockpit floor painted, seat and bulkheads done and the instrument panel done
  2. With the dive brakes all you need to do to close them and close the gap is to add shims of plastic card either end this sorts the problem out, also check the hinge where it meets the top wing some of the AM kits there is a section missing, just replace it with some micro rod and re-scribe the hinge lines

  18. Ok then just give an update before getting things finished and posting the completed build Black invasion stripes painted on the fuselage and insignia unmasked Fuselage stripes weathered Undercarriage and bay doors fitted Guns drilled out and fitted Whip aerial fitted made from stretched spru Some more chipping done round the engine cowlings Well this is it now until the final photos in the completed build section
  19. Ok, update on what I have got done today. Decals on the model, weathered up the model before applying the invasion stripes. I did this to show the difference between the original paint of the aircraft before the invasion strips were painted on, as there would be a big difference between the two. Masked and painted the invasion stripes on the wings first. I then masked up the decals on the fuselage, looking at the box art it shows one of the squadron code letters on the port fuselage as having been masked off. I went looking for other photos of P-51 with invasion stripes and showed that the insignia and code letters had been masked off with the original fuselage color still showing behind them. Masked up the fuselage sprayed the white, masked up for the black stripes that is how it is at the moment. Will get the black stripes sprayed on tonight, and with a bit of luck get it completed tomorrow
