  3. Only on the P-51, P-51A or A-36 were the doors locked in the up position when on the ground, for the doors to be open on these they had to unlocked normally when maintenance was being carried out On the P-51B/C and D/K the doors slowly opened as the hydraulic pressure bleed off

  13. Just a quick heads up on the kit and decals Noticed you were looking to do Lou IV or Petie 2nd Petie 2nd is ok from the kit Lou IV you would need to change the tail (this was a early 5 no tail fillet) and replace the decals as the kit ones are inaccurate, there is a name missing from the right hand side of the engine cowling Nooky Booky IV was a K not a D you would need to replace the spinner and props to the Aero Product one E2S is OK from the kit Hope this helps
  14. Started this one yesterday As you see this is one of the early P-51D without the tail fillet, I will be using the Ultracast resin tail for this along with the Eduard Zoom Set, Airscale Placards and bits of scratch building This is the progress so far
  15. Blink twice and you miss it Lloyd did anyone ever tell you as you get older you are supposed to slow down, you just get faster and better Great work there Lloyd
