  1. Wow! Simply wonderful. As others have said, the impression is of a much larger model. Your attention to detail is fantastic.
  2. Beautiful photographs, thanks for sharing.
  3. I have just watched the C4 show and really enjoyed it. Loved the comment from the wonderful ATA veteran that she had 'only flown 400 Spitfires'. I'm sure they could produce a follow up program using more footage and interviews. For what was virtually a live shoot I think they did a good job. I hadn't known until I did some Googling today that I attended the same school in Eccles that Tom Neil did. Also that he did some flight training at Barton Airport. I used to live within a few hundred feet from its grass runway and have flown from there myself. I'm babbling again... :-)
  4. That is a very nice looking Spitfire. A very suitable tribute to those who gave their lives to secure the world for us to live in.
  5. I saw a four plane formation go by mid afternoon from my workplace in Purfleet, Essex. Looked like three Spitfires and a Hurricane? Everyone rushed to the windows for a better view. Very cool.
  6. Amazing conversion work Rob and a superb paint job. Such a beautiful aeroplane.
  7. I'm jealous! That is a beautiful looking Griffon Spitfire.
  8. That looks really good, with a stand out paint and weathering job.
  9. A most impressive build and finish. Very inspirational.
  10. Beautiful build and finish. Hard to put into words, but the paint job looks perfectly 'scaled' as does the hardstanding.
  11. That is breathtaking work Michael, bravo! Many thanks for posting your pictures.
  12. Overscan - Please, Please, publish the main drawings within the book so they are not printed across two pages. I would rather a drawing be split and its two halves be on separate pages than have it distorted by flowing across two pages. Fold outs would be ideal but I am aware that this would be unlikely due to costs. I don't know how much of a problem this would be but it would be invaluable to those wanting to kitbash or scratch one of these beauties. I'm sure I'll love the book in any case!
  13. Stunning work. Beautifully finished.
  14. That looks really good Iain. The paintwork and weathering look superb. It looks as though it is a larger scale than 1/48. Very impressive indeed.
  15. Karl - I should have put quotes around 'Saturn 1.B tank section' as I did mean the area on the Hawk model and not the parts from a Saturn 1.B kit. I have an unbuilt resin Hawk to compare to the Airfix one which is helpful.
  16. Nice work Karl! I'm watching this with interest. I have considered cutting out the Saturn 1.B tank section and splicing in some sprue or tubes but carving the grooves looks promising.
  17. Looks much better than the boring 'grey' versions! Very nice work.
  18. A beautiful job and a stunning kit. I am even more tempted to buy one now!
  19. Big but elegant, looks powerful and menacing! A shame it never flew at all. Overscan - I'm guilty as charged. I need to put that right.
  20. I can't wait to get hold of this book! The P.1121 has to be in my top five favourite aircraft. I have a lovely 1/72 resin kit somewhere in the stash that will have to be pulled out. Plus a collection of 1/48 kits put aside for a kitbash project. I hope the book is a huge success for you!
  21. Excellent pictures. Many thanks for taking them and sharing.
  22. Has there ever been a poster released of the Roy Cross Airfix boxart for the 1/24 Spitfire 1a? The boxart shown on this page: http://www.vintage-airfix.com/airfix/various-series-124-scale/supermarine-spitfire-mk1a-p-251.html I have always thought that it is a stunning and beautiful piece of work.
  23. They must be selling fast as it is out of stock at my local Argos stores.
