  1. Hmmm... Yes they do look quite deep... :-(
  2. I want it ! Airfix told me £80-90 max. Sounds like a bargain to me!
  3. Hi guys, I thought you might like some close up snaps I took on Saturday. Detail looks good to me, fastners on engine panels, for example seem very crisp.
  4. I am getting into my build now: The only serious hurdle that remains is the body painting (red, as per my full size)... I hate that, - there are so many ways to screw it up !
  5. RFT - I have just got this kit to after recently buying the real thing! I have a good tip for you regarding the wheel painting: Use a reverse process, - Spray the whole wheel semi-gloss black (with a tiny spot of silver in to be totally accurate) then simply rub it off the spokes required with a cotton bud slightly damp with thinners / solvent to expose the metalised finish! BINGO! The Subaru BRZ version is now here: (£45). http://www.modelzone...-brz-24324.html Below is my full - size GT86:
  6. http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn186/j...ls/P1000434.jpg I have just completed TSR2 in (What if ?) 9 Sqdn colours, but am not in General melchetts league for detail quality, - (So please be kind to me as a newbie!) but have a concern over the way the main wheels are leaning under the models own weight. (See photo below) Also, noticed that the instructions do not seem to mention the struts that attach to the main wheel bogey arm...lucky I went to cosford with my camera, eh !?
  7. Silverburn, that's a masterpiece ! You have overcome so many issues brilliantly and thanks for sharing such excellent pics and all the tips & advice. Awesome mate, - 10/10 !
  8. It just gets better and better ! What camera are you using ? The resolution and detail is stunning...almost too good, showing "flaws" in the paint surface (NOT a critisism, - the human eye alone would never spot & I doubt I will ever get near this standard of paint quality !) but it almost gives microscope-like detail ! Beautiful job.
  9. That looks Awesome Silverburn. Well done mate. I take it the canards are a bit on the delicate side then ?
  10. Hi Silverburn What laquer or varnishes would you recommend then ? I am baffled as to what to use myself...
  11. This is really riveting, I log on every evening to see the latest progress on this impressive build...I can't wait to see the latest daily work that's been done. I am awaiting the results of your efforts before I commence my own. Well done SB and thanks for the pics, - Please keep them coming !
