  1. Timeless Hobbies will stock it... http://www.timeless-hobbies.com/store/p3559/MLEV-5_Mars_Lunar_Explorer_Vehicle.html
  2. This kit really is a ghost- missed out twice trying to get hold of one. Does anyone know if the kit might be re-released at some stage? I know there was a limited re-issue which I wasn't aware of. Anyway still after one but not holding my breadth.
  3. Looks like the Aoshima Takara mould 1/144 scale with added remote feature. I suspect that it will make it to the UK one day- they test the market the same way they did for the Millennium Falcon before releasing globally.
  4. Very nicely done. Is that Revell's first old mould 1/32 version that was re-released a few years back? Brings back memories of retractable undercarriages and moving control surfaces.
  5. Really, really nicely done. Fab model, you've pulled off the NMF.
  6. You've pulled it off- great build of one of my favourite versions of the Spad.
  7. Likewise, you've done justice to your 1/144 TB2 which I know is a difficult kit to build. Your model was the flagship display model on the Britmodeller table at the Hamex Small Space show last Sunday me thinks. Brilliant work.
  8. Thanks. It's difficult to get the windows looking correct in both shape and positioning. Studying various pictures and screengrabs indicates that the location of the side portals (top frames) are in line with the tip of the intake depressions as opposed to the lower lip. I might be wrong. They are not square as such and actually slope, however I'm trying to balance proportions, location and getting the look that I think might look 'right'.
  9. Quick update - TB2 now equipped with sunglasses After finding various datum points applied masks serving as windows/portals. This was make or break as I needed to make it all symmetrical and being faithful to the original first launch sequence model- took a long time drawing and re-drawing the window masks. Blending in windows. Some shots as she is today with the look I wanted to achieve What I am aiming for Next - pod interior with ribs, lighting and detail parts for pod 3. Applying first mixed green shade after fixing minor imperfections on lifting body/pod and adding roller undercarriage to pod. Stay tuned....
  10. I think Robert Burns in the States was releasing it again - not sure. If you want a better B-wing go for the Frank & Moe 1/35 scale one as its pretty close to the studio miniature but you'll still need to do a few mods for the orange spot version although you won't need to tear into the model like this one- not sure if its available still though. I had planned on building this 1/24 OOB but when I studied photos of the actual miniature my OCD kicked in and now I'm miserable with fingers super glued together and no fingerprints..
  11. That's the Nice N Models version yes? Must have been a heavy chunk of change. Doing a fine job there- all you need is the Time Slip Studio Enterprise A and you can have a stand off. Will be watching with avid interest.
  12. LOL It's a small laptop- but model is big and rather heavy- about 30" from cockpit to keel gunpod.
  13. Sorry on photo delay. Cockpit nose cone is badly warped due to my over zealous use of heat gun. So will scratch a new one. Anyway quick shots, every part has been modified or scratched. Tedious.
  14. Thanks all. Yes actually working on it right about now. Have fashioned a wing folding mechanism in brass which I had to because the resin kit parts would have sheared off/warped and were not accurate anyway in reference to the orange spot studio miniature. Also built a new wing keel gunpod. Mostly trying to scratch new parts which is taking ages. Thank god I have a dremel....Will try to post pictures tomorrow. I Totally, maybe Bandai might step up? When you look at the design it feels like an A-10 Thunderbolt or Skyraider with all the guns and cannons bristling from it- any Tie fighters/Intercepters straying into its field of fire would be powdered into instant star dust. Pity it had little screen time too- think I heard that the thin profile made it disappear in the final cuts.
  15. I'm working slowly on a 1/24 B-wing- Trying to create the 'Orange spot/ rising sun' version from this Alfred Wong kit- accurizing and scratchbuilding most of the parts so I'm closer to the studio miniature, prefer to ditch the resin. Original miniature was 1/35 scale. The cockpit rotates and it will have LED lighting. Close to 30" in length with metal armature for mounting. To do - new lower wing gunpod, brass hinges for the wing fold mechanism and revised front office for pilot.....oh and finishing that big Thunderbird 2...
  16. Real nice, nailed that camo. Israeli schemes are my favourite.
