    Roland D VI

Welcome. Lovely! Carry on. Post more photos!
  5. use a different brand for 70. Xtracrylix?
  6. I think the contrast was low in real life wasnt it? The D is easier than the A conversion. The A version needs wing changes for the slats. Remember to cut out top and bottom wing surfaces to fit the larger slat and then glue the slat shut. I couldnt get it as neat as I wanted or get the gun covers on the top wing to disappear with sanding. The little extension at the rear of the wing that sticks out at the back of the MG cover needs to come off, but that leaves a recess on the flap that wouldnt have been there. Have you test fitted the canopy yet? I must have had the front cowling a fraction too rear as the folding canopy section would not squeeze between the other 2 canopy sections.
  7. No weathering though... fastidious bunch the Swedes. Oh, no gunsmoke stains either.... Not to indulge in any garatuitous stereotyping you understand. Perhaps a diorama with a bombed out Ikea?
  8. Xtracrylix RAf rescue yellow?
  9. Can I suggest using needles as guns in the wing holes? The radiator flap is a tricky fit too.
  10. Oh you've done a neat job there mate. Much better idea than fitting the complete nose.
  11. Scratchers not Chox in disguise is he? Topic and tone are not dissimilar....
  12. Whatever you do do not use your model as part of the 13 amp circuit for appliances!

    Sopwith Pup

Hmm it might be acrylic. WW1 planes often had canvas wrapped props finished in PC10 or Battleship grey.
