  1. While pulling hop trailers too & from the Kiln this week, a white 1989 Peugeot 205 GTI which spent much of the day parked adjacent to a nearby vinyard. One of only two in the country according to our rego website. Then, wending my way home after work one of those days, a Bright Orange 2021 Lambo Huracan Evo 5.2P/4WD/7 AT again according to the same website. Bloody spectacular, nearly put my neck out getting the rego. Steve.
  2. Just a bit of musing here, but I'm wondering if the Mk I Wellington was the first plane to use the Pegasus that would fly for extended periods at some altitude in Northern climes & overcooling was feared, later found to be unnecessary? Just a thought. I know that doesn't explain why the Hampden didn't have this plate. Steve.
  3. I had a bacon & egg sandwich for lunch today. I've yet to find an occasion when a bacon sandwich wasn't improved by slipping a fried egg in with it. Steve.
  4. Nicely done Alex, you've taken an older kit & brought it right up to date & made it look very smart. 👍 Steve.
  5. A truly wonderful thread here. I hadn't been by for what seemed like a couple of days but was over a week & there was 3 pages of modelling treats waiting for me. Brilliant progress with this Adrian, I think your engine looks just fine in the best meaning of that, the rest of it is pretty good too. 👍 Steve.
  6. Or not available there anymore. Any chance of a reprint or paperback edition, I'd be interested, remaining stock seems to have discovered the inflationary pressures of OOP. Steve.
  7. It is possibly a bit of a hybrid, in that, while the turret may be incorrect, the wheels are correct for a RR but not a Fordson afaik. Are we sure that all the II Hussars cars had the modified turret? Steve.
  8. A Caracal Decals sheets for 1/72 A-10s, it's theJAWS scheme ones I'm most interested in. Steve.
  9. I had an experience with spells of vertigo , probably 20 years plus now. It would come on without warning & ranged from feeling a bit unsteady as I walked, half a step behind myself I called it, to full blown dizziness & nausea. I was prescribed Stemitil, an anti nausea tablet that worked very well for me. Gradually I got over it - haven't had anything like it for ages. Nothing ever showed in tests. Scary though & I have huge sympathy for those afflicted with it. Steve.
  10. A Mistercraft XFY-1 Pogo will be my contribution to this GB. Steve.
  11. That has come up stunningly well. I feel a sudden wave of nostalgia coming over me. Steve.
  12. The Interesting Bits by Justin Pollard, one of the researchers for QI, a book my son picked up at an op shop but I started reading. I'm very much enjoying it in a slightly queasy way, there have been some very weird & repulsive people through history. Steve.
  13. That looks a bit fabulous. Nicely done indeed. 👍 Steve
  14. Looks good Enzo, I reckon the Belgian RF & F-84F were the best looking of them all, though I am prepared to revise that in the face of sufficient indignation. Steve.
  15. Dark & menacing, you've caught the look wonderfully well I reckon. 👍 Steve.
  16. Regardless of the correctness or otherwise of the upperworks, I like the way this captures the sinister efficiency of these vessels & your dark grey upperworks make it look even more menacing, so it gets a ✔️ from me. Steve.
  17. Coming along superbly Roger, you're creating a great reference build for this kit as well as a super looking model. Allow me too to add my name to the Barracuda Appreciation Club roll, I've long rather enjoyed the look of the poor maligned machine. Steve.
  18. That is looking most promising, I've a couple of days off just now so best I try & keep my build on track. Steve.
  19. A couple of LF decals sheet via Aviationmegastore with Hellcat markings similar to aircraft in the recent thread on early Hellcat colours. Steve.
  20. That looks brilliant, especially for a quick & old one, out standing. 👍 Steve.
  21. Do you have a link for that Kari? I went looking & got back about 6 pages but figured I have no idea what the topic is called so may have overlooked it. Steve.
  22. A good looking build on the go Mark, you're overcoming those little niggles well. I'm looking forward to some more of this. Steve.
  23. Go for it mate, it's no skin off my nose at all, I build for my pleasure, not for the adulation of my public, all 3 of them. 😉😆 Steve.
  24. I just tried to visit the Sovietwarplanes site & just got an alta vista bandwidth exceeded kind of message, come back next month. Steve
