Looks great on the mobile, will have to check it out on the PC later.

I remember when WEM released their 1/600 scale Type 42 kit (I still have one in the stash), sales were very slow and when the first production run was eventually sold, they decided it wasn't worth doing a second run on economic grounds. It looks like Airfix have reached the same conclusion too, with the switch to 1/350 for the recent releases, what we need now is Airfix to redo their older kits in 1/350.

Fujimi have announced an MP4/12C in 1/24, in fact it may already be released in Japan, check out the usual sources HLJ, Hobby Easy etc.

Yes, but I know its not quite right and that will bug me, I'll get the next one right for sure. Home Bargains is your friend, I picked up these hobby cases for a couple of quid each, they also do some slightly larger ones too, extremely useful and the smaller ones fit inside the kit box. This is the first time I've planned on using the fuel lines, and the jury is still out as to whether I try to colour them or not, I'll probably try on a small piece first and if it looks OK, do them all.

No real progress since the weekend but I have done some sorting out of some add-ons that I'll use, I'm also going to use some braided lines and A/N fittings to plumb the oil cooler and radiators in.

Excellent model Kate, you put many of us older guys to shame.

Hi John, Great build as usual, I particularly like the first2 comparison pictures of the parts before and after painting, nicely presented. -
Ooh my giddy aunt, I can't wait to see this one, I'm trying to save up to get the recently announced MFH M19 kit, will be watching this with interest.

Hi all, As there seems to be a bit of an F1 model fest going on at the moment I thought I'd share my ongoing build with you all. I've been working on this one for about 6 months now ( I have a 2 year old daughter and modelling time is a real rarity believe me). It's the Tamiya '77 Monaco kit backdated to a '76 version, it is painted with Tamiya TS-15 straight from the rattle can, Indycals decals, and clear coated with TS-13 also straight from the can, I haven't polished anything as yet, but I'm thinking of doing it, so if anyone has any suggestions about polishing TS-13 feel free to comment. The engine and transmission are not yet fitted, as I'm still thinking of adding some plumbing as the engine bay is so visible, I have opened up the rear inboard brake ducts, a simple job that is well worth doing. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6KT3nFuuIFrdFdPeXVpanA3Qlk/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6KT3nFuuIFrcDJrcWFCdGdua0k/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6KT3nFuuIFrVnI5VzRPdzhwWVk/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6KT3nFuuIFrdy1FeEhaci11cnc/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6KT3nFuuIFrVzdHTktVMHdicE0/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6KT3nFuuIFrR2tGaVgtY0dnbmM/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6KT3nFuuIFrbmNfelhMck9tNEE/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6KT3nFuuIFrVFBsVUNYYWVvcUU/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6KT3nFuuIFreDBWcWFHSE1KX0U/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6KT3nFuuIFrazBRbnpQSkZFODg/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6KT3nFuuIFrNnJpMDZ6dU9oV00/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6KT3nFuuIFrX2dMWHNxd00tZkk/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6KT3nFuuIFrVnNib1VPTjZWOVk/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6KT3nFuuIFrNzVRSGxCdGtjQlk/view?usp=sharing The one glaring error that I've decided to live with is the position of the sidepod stripes, I should have put the elf logos on first and then positioned the stripes in relation to them, but I did it the other way round so the elf (or is that elves ) look a little cramped. I've decided to depict Jody's Swedish GP winning car as the decals seem to represent that race best, there were subtle changes in markings and bodywork at other races. I'm going to do another as Patrick's car at some point in the future. Thanks for looking.

2 hours later and she's back again, just read on the website that Sqdn Ldr. Ben Murphy is conducting display training out of St. Athan, it's like having our own personal air display.
-
And she's back again this morning, the beautiful Miss Demeanour, looking sensational in the summer sunshine over the Porthcawl / Port Talbot / Kenfig area.
-
Sitting in work listening to and occasionally glimpsing Miss Demeanor do an impromptu display over head, we're just outside Porthcawl by the way.

I'd like to think that my posting a link on the F1M site to Greg McGregor's brilliant Lotus 49 build here on BM had something to do with it. Even if it isn't the reason, I'm still very glad to see the great builds we've seen in recent days. I'll try and get some pics posted of my latest build of a Tamiya Tyrrell P34 in 1/20 scale soon. Happy modelling. Ant -

Hi Pascal I caught this over on F1M, nice to see it here too. As Madmonk has already said, this is a great forum, lots of great modelling here with lots of helpful advice, although I don't think you need that much help judging by the photos Happy modelling Ant -

Simply awesome, I'm contemplating getting my first 1/12 kit and your build has me seriously thinking about making it a Lotus 49. Can't wait to see more. -
IIRC Fiat Capri Blue is a pretty close match for the current BA Chatham scheme blue.

Nice choice of subject, my Uncle Bryn was part of the crew while she was up the Yangtze, often thought of doing one myself.

Nice work, I know how much of a pain in the butt this kit is, buildable, but it fights you all the way. I guess thats why you don't see too many finished examples.
