  1. Great work.Really like the understated weathering and chipping
  2. just spotted this.Great work, love the broken window and the rust effects
  3. I bought the kit from hobby link japan afew weeks back: 'Box' shot: 'sprue' shot: I started by joining the the fuselage halves together: I then joined on the wings drilled out the crew compartments in the wing section: Had to add a small plug to the air intake due to an air bubble in the resin. Apart from this the resin is of really good quality: the kit canopy is solid perspex and a bit rough so I decided to plunge mould my own: I then cut it into the relevant sections.I made a seperate mould for the windshield: I then added some lead wire for the canopy framing and test fitted it: So far its been an interesting and challenging kit to work on.hope to have another update soon Dave
  4. Thanks Rob The trees are just white metal model railway tree stumps, only problem I had with them was the paint coming of them while positioning them.Metalic trees dont look good! Dave

  11. Glad you all like it I used 'propblurs' .it took quite a bit of experimenting to get it reasonably realistic : http://www.propblur.com/Home_Page.php I used the resin airwaves set for the typhoon. The pylons had to be cut down, but they were a good fit to the wing The August 2008 scale aircraft modelling has a very good article on the trumpeter and special hobby kits,It was very usefull guide during the build. thanks Dave
  12. This was supposed to be a quick out of the box build but things quickly got out of hand! I ended up using the cannopy and wheels from the trumpeter kit and added the propblurs, photo etch and pilot. All in all it took about two months.hope you like it:
