Who makes FOD covers and where can i get them??? coz these damn intakes are gonna be so much work and probably a mess..

Well started my F-4J Phantom, i decided to wait for the Phantom GB on ARC before i do the F-4E.. I have already encountered a few problems, notely the damn intakes, you see what i mean by the pictures. I have a LOT of filling to do on them and repainting, it has kinda F***ed me off big time but as they say :shithappens: they also did'nt line up that well either, as if the screw you have to use just makes it worse .. I started work on the the seats as well which will have Eduard Coloured PE on them ... I really just hope i don't lose faith in this Kit like i normally do..

I was wondering what the Humbrol numbers or FS numbers are for a standard Spitfire Mk Vb i have the Tam kit and if i use tam paints i have to mix a crap load of paints to get the camo, i rather just use one paint rather than 4 to get the damn colour.. Anyone help me out with this?? Pat

Well i got a good deal at Modelzone today, i was on my lunch break, first time in a while and thought i take a look as you do. Well i saw a Hasegawa F-4N 1/72 for £18 and i was tempted to say the least but then in the corner of my eye i saw a Hasegawa F-4S 1/48, i thought i take a look i honestly thought it be around the £30 mark, boy was i wrong because the box was a little tatty i got it for £15 boy was i happy... And it has really really cool markings.. Pat

I am starting a VERY slow progress on my phantom, due to work but still need the money to keep me supplied with kits .. Anyway back to the question, now i know about the intakes on these suckers and i am not gonna spend money on sleamless intakes, i rather not hack up a perfect kit that a little elbow greese can't hurt.. So i have came up with an idea Milliput, now i have never used ANYTHING like this before and need advice on the best way to use this stuff, or if you have a beter option than Milliput then i am open to ideas... I am sorry for being a pain but i want to make sure it's all perfect and have everything before going ahead Ok where is the best place to get cleaning stuff in the uk? I use Humbrol and Revell enamels? Is Vallejo - Airbrush Cleaner any good? Oh and i use Future/Klear as well... I just don't know where to start looking or to go, got my new AB and compressor and i am scared to use them due to the cleaning side of things... Thanks for your time.. Pat

Nice build mike, i am not really a fan of FAA stuff, more of a Airforce guy, but a cracking build and it has made me look into getting that kit.. Damn you ..

I was gonna join in on this while i wait for all my stuff for the F-4E to get here and i just discovered that i have NOTHING RAF from the 60's i have before and after but nothing for the 60's.. I fill so ashamed to call my self British .. Now i don't know if this falls into the range but i only have a FGR.Mk2 Phantom but i am sure thats 70's-80's...

Ian, Good point on the winders and Nap on the same pylon, ok we dump the 2 winders on that pylon. And yeah swap the Snakes with the Mk-117's sounds nasty now ... The whole point of asking is figure out these things and so that we don't make mistakes like that.. Pat

Well i have decided to go, 3 Sparrows, 1 ALQ-87ECM, 2 BLU-27 on TER on Left inboard with 2 Sidewinders, 3 Mk-117's with 2 Sidewinders on Right inboard station on TER, 2 tanks on outer stations and a Mer with 6 Mk-82 Snake-eys on Centerline.. How does this sound? It will also have CAM decals and a BB F-4E pit.. Imput guys Pat

Jag seat in resin Don't know if these will work for the Hunter/Lighning Phantom seats don't know if this will work for the Mk 10 More phantom seats another Mk 10 seat again don't know if any good I am affraid the Aeroclub are the only peeps who make the Mk 10B seats and are White metal.. HTH Pat
