  1. The only detailed photos I have are on the iModeler website 1/72 Vickers Varsity - vacuform - iModeler
  2. Bovingdon, is just down the road from me, they used to do a market on the old airfield landing strip, not sure if they still do though, some of the old buildings are still their, they use it now for filming such as Star Wars and the like, there are always film sets of some sort popping up that you can see from the main road
  3. Just got back from the show, first time their, nice little show so hopefully Thames Valley will be back next year
  4. Blimey, I had this as a Christmas or birthday present, the same boxing, it must of been about the late 70’s, so imagine I must of been about 12-13 years old, moulded in light blue plastic with rubber wheels. At the time I was not much a modeller and started it but never finished it. Anyway great build, you certainly are churning these big models out. where’s the B52 😅
  5. Very nice representative of the Airfix Spitfire, I am guessing this is 1/48 scale
  6. Very nice model indeed, certainly an improvement on the old Airfix Defiant, my grandad worked on these up in West Bromwich at the time as he was a cabinet maker by trade, I believe there was wood construction somewhere near the gun turret
  7. Great progress Tom, maybe it might get finished for Telford
  8. Great looking aircraft and your weathering looks spot on, as many have pointed out Damn buster Lancaster were more or less new frames so would not have much weathering, I have seen some great builds of these aircraft but spoilt by over weathering
  9. As said before, a superb job on the Mach 2 kit, I also would like to see a Trident in this scale, BEA or BA livery
  10. I am sure this will turn out to be another stunner Tom., Couple of years ago at Telford I think I saw 2 or 3 of these builds on various club stands, not sure if they were all the Aeroclub Vulcans, or is Aeroclub the only one to do the Vulcan in 1/48, I did acquire a 1/72 Short Sherpa from John at a very cheap price, which are also quite rare, but not as rare as the Vulcan
  11. WOW, perfect weathering you have created on a perfectly made model
  12. Excellent progress, 3D printing has come along way, as you mention it still has its limitations, but is an added bonus to the modelling hobby, or should I say the ones who have the software and know how.
  13. This is one epic build, Amodel make some great stuff, I had the Il-76 which I wanted to build, but was one of those kits you open the box look at it then close the lid again, sadly I sold it on
  14. Nice Black Widow, the model looks great, although the background makes me keep looking at your garden more than the model LOL
  15. Looking good, did not see any mention of nose weight, unless you are having it wheels up
  16. That's really nice Andy, very different than your normal builds, as this is a American chopper, Russian helicopters always fascinate me though with their ungainly but functional looks
  17. Liking this build, I have always wanted to scratch build a 1/48 DH Devon/Dove, although I know Magna did this but it has horrible thick resin
  18. Very smart, nice to see something that’s not a Spitfire I know Broplan kits are not the easiest, there plastic always seems to be on the thin side
