  1. Its nice to see this back on track, it must be quite frustrating
  2. No I shall keep my sanity, I just want to finish it now and move on to the next project which might be the Vickers Varsity, and that will be detailed, if I can get enough information I might take a trip to Duxford one day
  3. First time I have seen a modeller use a microscope, fantastic work though, to much for me to take in.
  4. when the weather improves I shall start spraying the white, as most of the construction is done it should be alot easier (I hope) I wanted to do the BMA colours but I think it would be to hard to do the lettering in white.
  5. Probably the worst thing about it is that it is full of air bubbles just like a whisper bar, not that accurate in places, although I have seen some of these made up on the web I think it will take a lot of work and patience, and very expensive for what you get
  6. Its coming on good, love all the detail, where did you get the mesh from
  7. Has anyone bought the Anigrand kit of the McDonnell Douglas KC-10A Extender, after buying their C141 and knowing the troubles etc is this any different in build wise and at £113 plus postage should I keep my money in my wallet, I also know that AIM do a similar kit but vac and resin but much more expensive at £200 which one is best
  8. I have decided in the end to keep to the Continental livery, priming and sanding have finished so now I can concentrate on spraying the white on the main body, I have added some photos such as a size reference with the Boeing 737 that is also in 1/72
  9. I am very interested in knowing how you do your resin moulds would you be able to do a thread on this subject
  10. Looks like the tractor from the Airfix Stirling model
  11. As long as its shaken properly, you can also put it in some warm water before hand to allow a better spray, also spray in one direction don't spray backwards and forwards and allow each coat to dry properly before applying the next
  12. Hi Did you prime the model first, I have read that the colour red is a good base for gold, but could you not use halfords Gold from a can
  13. Hi Brian thanks for the drawings I have sent you an email, Hope you get better soon
  14. Does anyone know where I can get 1/72 scale plans for the Vickers Varsity from, or better still anyone have any that they could scan for me and send via email Regards Kev
  15. I don't think its muddy, its where the black paint has chipped and worn away to reveal the camouflage that these Defiants used to wear before they became night fighters, so I think its an excellent job, My grandad used to work on these I think he done something around the gun turret as he was a cabinet maker.
  16. Have you any progress photos of your build as I am very interested in the Britannia especially in 1/72
  17. Now that is good I like the cars when they crash into the plane, just like real life, the only thing that spoils it is the big pillers
  18. Did you say the F*** and S*** word when you dropped it
  19. use Microsol or microset which softens the decal
  20. if it is anything like the C141 Starlifter you may be disappointed, although I have no problems with Cottage industry companies such as Anigram or should it be Anigrand as you need a bit of dosh to buy the kits, but their larger models are full of pin holes and not really that accurate
  21. I see Welshmodel have released this Herc in 1/144 with similar markings
  22. I use very fine fishing line or lycra for aerial wire I find stretched sprue can vary in thickness, but can be achieved with patience
  23. Looks like a film from the 1960's
  24. Seeing those clothes line wooden pegs brings back memories when I was young and used them to my mums disgust
  25. It's nice to win an award as it makes you feel that all your hard work paid of in the end. Well done
