Thames Valley Scale Model Club will be attending, always a good show and plenty to see

Splendid results of a very difficult kit, I was going to do the same Iron Maiden scheme as I have the same decals, but I think I will sell them on evilbay as I know I won't be doing it

Just caught up with this, actually had seen the photos on Instagram, looking very smart, hopefully see it in the flesh at model show somewhere this year

Very nicely done, especially what happened at the Nationals where you are, it's always a shame that accidents happen to a model that we took pride in building it. It also happened to me, but worst things happen in life and I was upset for 5 minutes but it had happened and there was nothing I could do.

Lovely build, nothing wrong with that at all

My favourite scheme of the Sea King, these starter kits are relatively cheap in the UK for such a nice accurate kit

Nice kit, all that someone needs to do is scale it up to 1/72

How different was the Devon from the Dove? Could I use these plans to build a ‘reasonably accurate’ DH Devon? (RNZAF in particular).
There is no difference, only the internal seating might be different, the Amodel is a nice kit but the nose is a bit to pointy, the Rareplanes kit has a better nose,
I have some nice scale drawings I can see if I can find them and scan them for you (Aviation News Volume 5 No 9)

Very nice, it builds into a lovely kit, shame someone does not do a good 1/48 scale, I can only dream that Airfix would release it

Most of these drawings don't show the asymmetrical tail on the Dove/Devon, which some modellers forget, I believe early examples had the normal tail

Very impressive build, must of cost a small fortune in rivets

I am lost for words how you manage these huge vac form kits and in such a neat manner

Very impressive Andy, your ship building is on par with your aircraft modelling skills

Very nice build, it goes together pretty well for a kit first released back in 1980, I had to take the rivets back on mine as they are a tad over scale, although the real aircraft is covered in them, one thing I noticed on your build is the main wheels seemed to be flared out to much, if you look at the actual aircraft, this is the one weakness of the kit as the undercarriage is quite complex, as it does not support the weight of the model to well.
