  1. Very nice! Inspiring scheme! Looks good on an A-10 as much as an F-16!
  2. Nice! Those Meng kits are inspired! Very well done!
  3. Great build! Now you have inspired me to finish mine (though not as good as yours I'm afraid)
  4. Hooorah! I will sell all my stash just to get one! My dreams come true! One of our club members here is 3/4 finished a scratch 22' eagle... Poor him!
  5. Holy messerschnitzell! My god, 1/72 is reclaiming it's title as the one true scale IMHO... Eduard stuff in 72 will be great! My wallwet will be forever empty... Any other surprises?
  6. I'm still praying for a 1/48 scale Tucano by Airfix, would look great next to a Hawk or Gnat!
  7. & &I agree about the (partial)let down, but we were responsible ourselves about generating the hoopla about the announcement IMHO. Any new announcement from Airfix should be welcomed. I am happy about all 3 subjects even though they're not exactly my cup of tea. I consider the "Lidar" announcement the BIG one since this means NO MORE SHAPE ISSUES for all of Airfix's new release where they can apply the new tech! Now that's big news! Don't you agree?
  8. In they don't tell anytime soon, i'll contact my friend at Norad so he can lob an ICBM on Airfix's HQ!!!!
  9. My patience is running thin... about 1/48 scale now, should nreach 1/144 in a couple of minutes
  10. Well it's 7:43 AM here in Montreal, I stopped airbrushing in case the annoucement would make me drop it... stayed up all night in anticipation!
  11. Superb job! A jolly "There you go, in your face" to all those who declared this kit as fatally flawed, unbuildable and all those other negative comments... Great that you proved them wrong with your wonderful (ugly to them maybe?) build! I admit to squirming a bit myself at first but now seeing your build and all the other builds creeping up, I will get my hands on one for sure! Thanks and kudos!
  12. Ever seen these pics? http://www.nasa.gov/images/content/584398main_M168353795RE_25cm_AP12_area.jpg from this website: http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/LRO/news/lro-briefing-20110906_prt.htm
  13. You mean like this? Sorry Graeme I don't want to hijack your post... I took the Adats turret I scratchbuilt 15 years ago and put it on a Trumpeter LAV III Hull, Modified to represent the failed MMEV (Multi Mission Effects Vehicle) evaluated by the Canadian Forces a few years ago. This pic was taken at the Ottawa Capcon show in Sept. 2013 Here are some in progress shots: I have a few photos of my original scratchbuilt Adats that I built 15 years ago, with the help of gcdavidson and another friend providing tons of references. I even scratched 1/35 Diehl Tracks! I must have been crazy back then... (I'm more crazy now since I started one in 1/24! I admit it, I'm beyond crazy... ) Again. my sincere thanks to Graeme and Stéphane! So I will be watching this build with great interest since I love this baby and I can tell you that Graeme's work is FIRST CLASS! (having witnessed his work live) I really look forward to this build by THE expert on the Adats!!!
  14. Pull out the popcorn, can't wait to see your progress!
  15. If airfix would re-tool all their old molds I (and many of us) would be happy indeed! But I was also thinking specifically about the case of the new tooled 1:72 or 1:48 Phantom FG1 & FGR2`s that most of us would like to see. IMHO, since Boeing owns the rights to the F-4 it might be a licensing issue. Correct me if I'm wrong, but seeing all those Boeing approved products coming out in our hobby, a good portion of our money is being channeled to Boeing just for the rights to "produce" one of their "product". They also have the last word on who and how these will be made... or the lawyers will get involved! Kind of throws a monkey wrench in our desire to see new tooled British Phantoms! What do you guys think?
  16. Thanks Caerbannog! It Certainly confirms our concerns! That part looks good!
  17. I agree... those were the days! But oh no... I just realised... I'm one of those! Oh yes, I am guilty as charged... I admit it I am a JMN/rivet counter... I am also a member of the accuracy and colour police... Playtime severely spoiled.... Someone get me a life!!!! HELP! (toung firmly placed in cheek!) But seriously, that Tornado kit is one of the best models quality/price wise I have ever come across... warts and all!
