  1. As an update, the seller couldn't find the kit tracks, they offered me some other random tracks pulled out of a swedish CV90 IFV; fair to say they don't know much about armour modelling! I got a discount so am now on the look out for a set of workable tracks. Been looking at the Friul tracks, with the Euro weaking it makes very tempting!
  2. Hi Hans, Thanks for the response and your kind offer, it's an early version, but truthfully I'm not too precious which version will be fitted. I'm waiting to see if the seller can located the missing tracks, but now I've had time to site and look whats out there I've been drawn mysteriously to the workable tracks, they're expesive but do look nice. I'm being slowly tempted along a new path....damn the internet! Cheers, G
  3. Hi all, I've just received a Zvedza Tiger today purchased via ebay and to my shock/horror...I discovered I'm missing the flexible band tracks. I've contacted the seller, but in the meantime, what decent third party, reasonably priced track options are there? I've only used the flexible tracks previously, and quiet happy using them, so something similar would be ideal, though cursory glance seems to suggest idividual tracks would be the only available option. Regarsds, Greg
  4. Looks like you've logically worked through the suspension complexities. You're right regarding the build order...I ignored the instructions, built the main hull up, installed the suspension bits and pieces, then started adding the fiddly, delicated parts. I'm using a photoetch set on mine and this is where I started runing into trouble, being my first foray into pe I've learnt it opens up a whole new dimension of frustration. Hence the long long pause in my build...I enjoyed the kit dispite its short comings.
  5. Hi Ceadda, I start my BTR80 a long while back, it's still unfinished! I certainly agree with you, its a rough old kit. I did'nt even bother contemplating removing the handle rails, I made up new ones using 0.7mmdia wire, see below:
  6. Excellent work there. Inspired me to complete my airfix 1/72 P40, using a brush.
  7. Ah I see, I've got that same tool but haven't yet used it in anger. Will bear in mind it's limitations and have sharpened needles at the ready. thanks G.
  8. Great build there. Inspired me to do the same. I also got to get one of the these Revell Me106 g's
  9. Lovely P-47 there. How did you create the rivtets?
  10. Fab looking zero, I like the weathering and beaten up appearance. I must build myself one of these. I'll definitely use yours as a guide when I do.
  11. Hi, Did the rub & buff come with the kit?
  12. Your building is looking fantastic. Impressive amount of detail for 1/72!
  13. Dental files- they use them for root fillings and they are exceptionally fine. I saw that them on ebay a while back.
