This will be my first group build, can i join with a 1/32 A7E from VA 72 in desert camo scheme. Hope a year will be long enough!!!

Im building a 1/32 mig 29 and every picture ive seen them in the paint/general condition looks faded and oily and dirty. This is the first time i will be having a go at weathering so any advice on achieving these conditions would be much appreciated. Also people say they spray clear over their painted model and use stuff to fix their decals on, can anyone give me some advice on these too, sorry for the newbie questions. Cheers, ollie.
