  1. These are Mk4 Canadair sabres of 444 Sqn. R.C.A.F. on one of the stopovers on their transatlantic flight during Leapfrog IV. One of the stops was Lossiemouth., could this be there?
  2. The sabres are new Mk4s of 422 Sqn. R.C.A.F., on their way to 4 Wing in Germany. Exercise Leapfrog IV

  5. I have a photo of a Canadair F-86 that has a RAF number of XB962 on the rear fuselage and a Canadair number of 825 on the nose. This Canadair number relates to 23035 which is a Mk5. Can anyone sole this?

  11. Split-second before their final takeoff from airfield near Hamburg, Germany, RCAF 403 Wolf squadron Spits led by W/C James F. Edwards, DFC & Bar, DFM, North Battleford, Sask., bunch at the head of the former Luftwaffe runway, at the start of the trip back to England and then to Canada. Kites will be turned back to RAF and the three squadrons, already officialy disbanded, will fly no more.
