  1. What an interesting and entertaining build! Brilliant work.
  2. This question was asked a couple of years ago on here I think and one of the options given was Fait Red Orange in Halfords. I tried it on my 1/48th build and I have to say, it's pretty much a good match.
  3. Beautiful job. If only they had given her more powerful engines......
  4. I reckon the airfix Nimrod is crying out for the hendie touch... Just my opinion like.
  5. That wasn't Dominic, that was a slim imposter...!
  6. Driving through Belfast earlier we had a DC-3 PH-PBA in retro KLM colours do a tight turn on to finals and land over the top of us into The City Airport (George Best). Absolutely stunning. It's still parked there tonight when I drove back past around 2300. It can be seen from the gate or the bridge at Sydenham Halt if anyone's interested.
  7. I believe you can remove klear by soaking the canopy in more klear. Maybe somebody can confirm this?
  8. And revell have rereleased the 1/32 matchbox kit in a couple of different guises.
  9. Beavers used in NI were green/black.
  10. Just had the AN-12 fly past there (Portavogie). Very strange sound compared with what we're used to.
  11. Really terrible news. Thoughts go out to the families
  12. I found some fantastic fine mesh yesterday in ikea. The frying pan splatter guards are lovely and fine and only 3 quid for a fair size.
  13. It used to be that the MOD used to set the criteria for the role a plane needed to achieve (as a minimum). Nowadays it seems they just look for something, either euro or American, that'll just do if it's close enough. When did it change?
  14. Honestly Dave it's not as daunting as it looks. All you need is different grades of very fine sandpaper. I use a 4-sided nail buffer I bought in a pound shop and it works perfect. Take your time, don't rush and obviously start with the coarsest and within 10 mins you'll have a perfect canopy. A dip in klear (or equivalent) and Robert's your mum's brother.
  15. Amazing work on the nose and windows. Modelling OCD takes on the "it'll do" and triumphs once again!
  16. Depends on the glue you used too, if it's a plastic welding adhesive then, unless you did a bad job of it, you'll not break it apart.
