  1. Wouldnt mind joining this one,i have a "Aliens" diorama idea and a half built pulse rifle lurking about somewhere, may give me the "boot up the bum" required to finish them!
  2. Only 9 months in the "Stash". Result! Congratulations to you and yours.
  3. Great looking finish, and has already been noted, excellent wood effects.I know what you mean about starting to enjoy WW1 kits, they kinda grow on you, along with the swearing and gnashing of teeth.
  4. Update on the Abatros DII Managed to cram it all in
  5. Did they mention the usual Roden fit malady? Slow, but steady progress,i have not worked with P.E to any great degree before, mainly seat belts,so a bit of a learning curve going on,that and a need for stronger specs!
  6. My Gob has most definitly been smacked,Awesome work, and in 1/72 to boot!
  7. Had a go at the resin engine,nice little bit of kit.Still a W.I.P.
  8. Excellent "Shrike" got his "lucky" 13 on the fuselage as well, nice touch.
  9. Tricky one this,im more inclined to it being possibly a replacement wing tip than a yellow ident mark.By this stage of the war, most Luftwaffe pilots preferred to remain "discrete"
  10. After six years of being "boxed up" due to a house move,I finally got round to to setting up a "hobby room"So,down to the cellar, with some trepidation, and a good old root among the boxes, and after a quick re-building session,I give you,The" Geekathon" Halcyon Alien Warrior Halcyon Alien 3 Halcyon 1/1 Scale Facehugger Halcyon Alien Queen Screaming Pinhead Horizon Terminator Horizon Joker(one of the best kits ever!) Horizon Jurassic Park T.Rex And finally, cant remember who produced this kit,Predator O.K,back to Aircraft soon!
  11. Here's my contribution for the group build. Kit is sourced from Roden, with a resin engine and pilot figure, etched brass and metal struts, all in all ,a tidy little package.
  12. Really realistic wooden look, will watch with intrest, and for handy tips!
  13. Ok chaps,my first completed build since joining this great forum, and my first attempt at a WW1 crate,Thanks to Bob of Bob's Buckles fame for his splendid buckles. All mistakes are my own!
  14. Great looking "Bird" Will follow this with intrest.
  15. I would like to join in with the Encore Models 1/32nd Scale Albatros, and time permitting,WNW L.V.G. Cheers
  16. Pfalz update, slowly coming together, sorry for my crappy camera skills,or lack of.Really hard to find a consensus regarding the silver-grey factory finish for the Pfalz,so went for this, its a light grey and silver mix for the first 2 coats, then that mix, with white added for the third.Checking my references Starks purple band appears to have been brush painted,so that saved me the hassle of having to get tamiya paint through my airbrush,(and I did use the tamiya thinners)Anyway, next stage is to gloss for the decals, then rigging and weathering,Wish me Luck btw,the top wing is just sat on the struts, its not been glued into place yet, used fine fuse wire for the control cables, and scratch built the radiator control from a pin and scrap plastic.
  17. Hi Phil and welcome, not been here long myself, but its a great site with a lot of helpful folk.Looking forward to your first results.
  18. Just thought i would add my appreciation to Fred here, ordered some of these spandau jackets from him, Fred kept me well informed and is a pleasure to deal with, arrived today, and they are a lovely bit of kit.
  19. Just outstanding,I sit here jaw agape!
  20. Had a few days off, hoorah for snow! so thought i should crack on. Had to shave a lot of the interior away to get fuselage halves to fit,so no live feet eating,Sorry. Test fitting upper wing, then i shall attempt the rigging.
