  1. Excellent, product test. The winners are very clear (sorry I just had to ) Your tests seem to be very complete for the conditions you have and the results you are looking for. Now that we have the benefit of your experiences there is only one small thing left to do-----send me you address so I can forward my models to you for that final clear coat. --- Oh, just never mind--- time for my nap. "Le succès est un voyage pas une destination"
  2. Olivier I am very glad you found the solution to you "gap-problem". The gap now, does look very much better, so the work payed dividends- hooray! As to the stripes I have no doubt they shall soon be put to rights-straight as an arrow 😁 OK, ready for the next adventure
  3. Olivier; Very credible ( i.e. satisfactory) result on the vent/grille slots new replacement part. I am not surprised at all.😉 Perhaps use of a piece of brass stock , sprayed with silicone would minimize the putty/ TLCP sticking to the metal surface. Also another thought, perhaps by cutting the shim piece just a tiny bit short , it could be slid back and forth in the panel gap before the putty hardens completely? I offer these suggestions only to stimulate your brain into finding a real solution. 😛 Reminder, the 1:1 size car was built over a much longer period of time and by many people. Thus I think you, as the lone builder, have proven that your effort is far superior. apprécie le voyage
  4. Quel choc. Mes condolèances à toi. Congratulations on the wheels and tires. Very well done.
  5. May your troubles be reduced in size each day, until they are gone. Standing by until you may resume your modeling.
  6. Olivier, You have me sitting on the edge of my seat, waiting for your results. This is worse than a soap opera, always with a commercial interruption, just as the problem is about to be (or not be) solved and everyone lives happily ever after (or maybe not) p.s. Very clever problem solving between you and Urshimato, truly inspiring.
  7. Olivier Enjoy your holiday, well earned if I say so myself. Brilliant solution for the head light chrome. Could a vacuum formed part be constructed to better represent the lens thickness? Of course the recreating of the lines and squares (in the lens) would be a problem. Consider with your now "expert status" (😉) using sanding pads and polishes it may be possible to sand the original lens thickness away. Regardless, good work so far, with much more to follow I'm sure. Profitez de vos vacances
  8. I too just discovered your spectacular work. So well done in so many areas. Congratulations.
  9. Oliver I am confident you will find a solution to the diable spot. I am not sure I would be so calm and collected, while fixing it. So, we do not have... Reste bien mon ami
  10. A thing of glistening beauty. With that shine, you almost need sunglasses just to look at it. Seriously, an out standing paint job.
  11. Oliver perhaps this page from Indianapolis Motor Speedway web site shop , shows a clear view of the logo for you to use ( IMS Lapel Pin seems especially clear.) note too: the flags on the logo are only one colour each but "folded" in two. re: the IMS 7 Flag Set With Base / 7 Flags, shown immediately above the pin illustration. Hope this information is useful. International Motor Speedway (Indy 500) online shop. Bon modelage
  12. Oliver, Again I can only think of your work as superb, regardless of your personal opinion . I was reading some of my other emails and the following was discovered among the sites offerings. Engineering prototype of the Ford Mustang. I am not really trying to influence the selection of your next magnum opus, But it is intriguing, No? 🙃 Récompensez-vous avec une pensée chaleureuse, pour tout le chemin que vous avez parcouru.
  13. In the spirt of trying to offer a suggestion to a fellow modeler. Have you considered using a spray bottle of water to lightly mist the paint booth to try to help keep the dust from swirling about in the air of the paint booth as you paint? Then covering the model with a plastic (or??) box until the paint dries. This way the amount of air born dust particles are minimized and/or kept away from the drying paint. Regardless your work is impressive and a pleasure to watch.
  14. The skilled Mustang craftsman at his labors and then . It is all coming along brilliantly n'est ce pas?
  15. Oliver it is good to see your progress-regardless of the speed. I am glad you have created the horns, I'm sure they will be as accurate to the full size Mustang as only you can do it. p.s. As you are constructing the horns would they be instead of being automobile horns, now be called French Horns ? Never Mind it is time for my nap
  16. Olivier, I would agree, the checkered flags, have more panache to the general viewer. They are known through out the world as a "Winner" thus totally approprié to your fine model.
  17. Oliver . You are correct the Yellow flags are "Caution" (i.e. careful/ possible danger ahead/ be watchful ahead of you) for track officials to slow the cars down indicating an unusual condition ahead, No passing is allowed when running under the Yellow flag So in using the Yellow flags on the Pace Car, it keeps the drivers aware that the race has not begun and they are to stay in their starting line-up positions while running a reduced speed. Also during the race if a "yellow caution flag" is used by the officials and the race needs to be restarted the cars line up in their race positions (where they were at the time of the yellow flag) and the Pace Car is used at that time to keep cars in race order until the Green flag is waved to start or restart the race . At this same time the pace car will quickly run like a scared rabbit off to the pit lane to avoid being run over by the race cars getting very very quickly back up to racing speed (think of ZOOOM) prendre plaisir
  18. The dash board causes a conflict? Time for the angle grinder! Off with the offending part- I say. Give it no quarter.😡 Ah, perhaps I went a bit overboard there,😉 I'll leave the correction in your very capable hands
  19. Oliver, my apologies for missing many of your recent up dates. But, as I have now caught up with your progress. May I say, astounding work and recovery from the problem parts. I hope many are picking up on your technique of creating the small sanding tools, very ingenious and worthwhile. I now have that information in my modeling notes for use at my earliest opportunity. Modèle sur, oh puissant artisan.
