  1. OOps! can a mod move this to Ready for Inspection please!! Thanks Kirk
  2. Thanks Mike, have been a little busy on other things recently but am now back into full 'finish this before the deadline' mode Cheers Kirk
  3. Hi everyone, have just finished my first armour (and figure) for a couple of years as a little rest (along with an Airfix Gnat!) from my big Tiffie. It's the Dragon Late Production Tiger I with the Atak resin Zimmerit and with some added detail in the turret interior. Usch. Heinrich Ritter, 3./s.SS-Pz.Abt.101, eastern front 1944. Hope you like it, all comments welcome. Cheers Kirk
  4. Hi everyone, a little late to the Gnat party I know. Made this (and a 1/35 Tiger I, check out Armour WIP if interested ) just because it looked so well molded therefore would be a relatively quick build while I had a little break from my big Tiffie! Still, loved making it and certainly a bit diffferent to anything else I've built. Any comments gratefully received, thanks for looking. Kirk
  5. Cheers guys, hope you like the next one off the work bench too Kirk
  6. Thanks Iain, quite pleased with it myself! Here it is with the finished seat installed - Made a start on reworking the internal step compartment - Thanks for looking Kirk
  7. Thanks Iain! Most of cockpt area now finished apart from matt varnish, just the ejection seat belts to complete - Close up of cockpit Cheers Kirk
  8. Hey Don, thanks for that, a great resource that I've not come across before. Cheers Kirk
  9. Thanks for the heads up Julian, will check them out. Kirk
  10. Latest update - Have decided to use the Eduard colour etch so have prepped the kit parts and painted them as close as I could to match, using the colours in the pic plus white - Seat and rear of cockpit undercoated ready for detail painting and etch - Thanks for looking Cheers Kirk
  11. Have been busy opening up the grill areas. Done the main ones on the fusalage halfs and have just done the other smaller ones on these two parts for just above the engine intakes. Here is a before and after shot of them - Cheers Kirk
  12. Thanks everyone appreciate all the kind words (and great links!). Cheers Kirk
  13. Have had a bit of a marthon modelling session yesterday/this morning and have started to add detail to the rear canopy area and back of the cockpit - Have cut away sections and added detail in the rudder pedal area and made up the seat ready to paint - Have to admit I'm in two minds at the moment whether to use the Eduard colour etch, or paint the kit parts in the cockpit area, as I don't know if I can match the colour they have used on the consoles and IP ....hmm Cheers Kirk
  14. Thanks guys, - I know what you mean Ian, lol, but hey, I need all the help I can get and this stuff is so purrdy! - guess what I 've just had delivered James?! - it's a great kit at a great price Daniel, go for it! Kirk
  15. Well, if even you think it will be hard to get these, it will be just as hard for anyone else , so I suppose I will just have to make it up and if anyone says I'm wrong I'll look forward to seeing their proof! Cheers Kirk
  16. Thanks for the reply Richard, I've seen these already and they are a great help. What I think I really need is an upward left and right view inside the opening to help me make out the size and shape of the equipment, cable, pipework and connections in there. Cheers Kirk
  17. Can anyone help me with some detail pics for my 1/32 version in the large scale group build please? I need close ups which are good enough to help me scratch build the integral steps bay, the Maintenance Panel area and the ground crew comms plug-in area under the leading edge of the port wing. Have looked through all the pics on here, the Eurofighter and RAF web sites, and our friend Mr Google images, with very limited success so far. Thanks in advance . Kirk
  18. Thanks for the kind words gents. Have to say, the OH decals are really superb, better than the Airfix ones in the kit which wanted to fall apart as soon as I even just showed them some water! A bit strange as I've never had a problem with Airfix decs before, hence the minimum of stencils and data on the model. Luckily, as it's only 1/72, I don't think the lack of them is that noticable. Cheers Kirk
  19. Hi everyone, this is going to be Revell's lovely kit with the seat belts, interior and exterior Eduard etch, Aires wheel wells and exhaust, Two Mikes APU exhaust and intake covers, 4+ Decals and SAC undercarriage. It sounds like alot of aftermarket stuff now that I've written it down, but I'll be trying a bit of extra detailing myself, re-doing the integral steps storage area, the maintenance panel and spruce up the cockpit area. A couple of pics before I start. Kit contents Some of the other bits Cheers Kirk
  20. Hi, can I join in with the Revell 1/32 Eurofighter? Picked it up for a bargain price from the big H so have manage to get a few nice extras to use on it. Have realised that it will be my first 1/32 and my first modern jet! Cheers Kirk
  21. Hi everyone, this is the lovely 1/72 Airfix Spit IX finished as a HF.Mk.IXe of 725 ESK Flyvevabnet, Copenhagen Airport, 1951/2, with the following extras/mods- - removed overwing bulges above wheel wells - added wheel well detail - scribed missing underwing panel lines - filled in unused machine gun cartridge ejector ports - drilled missing fuel filling point - drilled missing belly i.d. light - added detail behind pilots seat and instrument panel (what a waste of time that proved to be!) - Pavla cockpit and vac canopy set - Pavla 'pointy' rudder - OH models 'Foreign Spitfire MkIXs Pt1' (OHM-72004) - Eduard harness and instrument panel from the Zoom set - airbrushed with Vallejo Model Air colours - Vallejo aerosol Matt Varnish - Flory Model's Dark Wash Hope you like this one as much as I do! Thanks for looking Kirk.
