  1. Per an article by Dick Harley, the Interus kit is a lot closer to accurate than the Emhar kit. Downside is that the space between the inner and outer trackframes on the Interus kit is 10mm when it should be 8mm. This throws off the front and rear turret, which end up being too narrow by about 6" in 1/35th scale. I'd also get a good set of drawngs for the sponsons, as they're a bit off as well. At least when you get a set of tracks from AA, they won't go to waste. You can also make up the kit as a 301st Tank Battalion vehicle, as they operated "Composites". Good luck - post some pics as you work!
  2. I've done a kit-bash using the Monogram AV-8/GR.1 and the Airfix Sea Harrier ... it combines the Monogram detail with the Airfix cockpit/nose section. That'd be my recommendation.
  3. Thanks much, great stuff! After reading a bit about the various marks, I'm going to go with the FGR.4 - it would appear to offer more stores options, at the very least. Is there any word on if or when they might be deployed to the 'stan?
  4. I'm looking for good reference sources for the RAF Typhoon, as I really don't know much about the aircraft and it's various interations. Any suggestions as to where to start? While Google is our friend, I would definitely appreciate some direction! Please excuse my ignorance, but have they been deployed to Astan yet? I understand that a number have been sent down to the Falklands however. Thanks!
  5. I've the old Airfix 1/24th Hurricane and would like to know what might need correcting. I've read bits and pieces that the kit has some "modelling opportunities", but would like to know what they might be .... thanks!
  6. Grant ... thanks so much for the photos ... fantastic resource!
  7. I picked up the 1/48 Revell CH-53G, which appears to have all the old HH-53 parts as well. I'm very interested in building it as a HH-53C used during the Vietnam unpleasantness. Suggestion as to where can I find information (photos, drawings, etc...) about the exterior and interior of these helios? Are there any conversion/detail sets on the market? I see that Cobra has a nice selection of MH-53 Pave Low parts, but I'm more interested in building a 'C. Thanks in advance!
