  6. Not jealous, not at all, not even a little bit, or even slightly, or a jot..........really (through gritted teeth) MH
  7. Made the Airfix rendering as a nipper and remember nothing except that I was told to paint it gloss ivory...................hmm. The Frog was a nice kit. Don't remember much about the cockpit bt recall that the raised panel and rib effect needed a sanding down at least.
  8. Dunno about that but I went on the web and I found this....................... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AIRFIX-1-48-EE-LIGHT...id=p3286.c0.m14 form a queue
  9. I recall that Scale Models (even before it became "international") in the late 1970's/early 80's did a cut and shunt job on the supposed 1/48 Revell F4K. Yes lots of plastic shims and putty are required................be sure to post the pics when finished!!!!!!!!!
  10. Gloster Meteor - don't mind if it's a 4 or an 8 all those pretty colour schemes........................
  11. 1) like this? http://www.flightglobal.com/airspace/photo...tornado-ids.jpg 2) it's grey - therefore boring 3) "Saudis Terrorise Welsh Sheep Horror" - coming to a Daily Mail near you soon
  12. Given that moulds can be pirated by unscrupulous manufacturers using computers and laser trickery, is it an insurmountable problem that the originals are lost?
  13. Loads of respect to you mate. That is one stunning model!
  14. Would Kirsten Scott Thomas be seen in any of these? Anyhoo my tuppence worth (again in no particular order): MiG 17: the backbone of many a conflict Douglas A-1: just because it just looks so cool all loaded up Mirage III/V family: for all those neat colour schemes C130: so good its replacement looks remarkably similar 50 years on UH1: the best thing ever with a rotating wingspar
  15. Thanks for the confirmation guys. Now then - how fiddly is that winch going to be in 1/72?!
  16. I've a feeling that I know the answer already but................. I have the PM Sea Fury TT.20 which is rapidly (for me anyway) nearing the painting stage and at present intend to finish it like this http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=h...DN%26start%3D18 (check out the other photos on the site!) However, before I commit paint to plastic, can anyone confirm that the only EDSG/Sky TT.20's are warbirds like the Fleet Air Arm Historic Flight's new example? http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=h...sa%3DN%26um%3D1 This is quite an attractive scheme and if 'real' would be tempted by that instead (however those patches of zinc chromate primer might be interesting?). Over to you gang! Regards Optimal Cranial Clearance
  17. Is it me or do the wings look more like a B.1? General sir - may I suggest that you buy three wooden legs, screw them to the underside and convince memsahib that you bought her a coffee table?
  18. Pete Very interesting build. Which kit and scale is it? Is there a story behind the scheme? MH
