VAnd extra kudos for not painting the collector ring in coffe pot copper colour! 😉
....knowing my success with metallic colours, that's just the type of thing I would have done if I'd been able to find the copper paint! (Still getting
bulliedhammered about the colour of the exhausts on my Su-57 )3 hours ago, celt said:Well tidy pair of models and not a cheat line in sight,🤣
What a nice surprise to hear from you !
Cheatline job on it's way, but only because you ask so nicely 😜 (Should be landing early spring at the latest)

Fantastic !
Desperate to get my hands on one of these now, but the colour schemes I want aren't available yet .......
...almost tempted to buy one of the others just in case !
Thanks for posting.

South African Air Force Gloster Gladiatior Mk II
Captain John Lister "Piggy" Boyle - East Africa 1940
Airfix kit finished with EZline rigging, aftermarket guns by Miniworld and markings from Xtradecal X72321.
I'm afraid that the Gladiator has never really appealed to me, and I only built it as a stablemate for my earlier Hurricane
No real issues with the Airfix kit and it proved to be a nice distraction while working on bigger projects
Thanks for looking.

Can't wait to see it on final

Absolutely spot-on from where I'm sitting !
Amazing to see what can be done when the old Airfix kit passes through the hands of an artisan.
Many thanks for posting.

Excellent build, paintwork and photography.
We haven't seen too many 767s around here recently, so thanks for sharing.

So far, the construction went without much hassle
Can't tell you how disappointed I am to read this 😢
You've single-handedly destroyed my only reason for buying ONE ! I hope you're proud of yourself ? 🥳
(On a serious note, you're doing a cracking job - very inspirational)

"In what is now Harare, a street is still named John Plagis Avenue after him."
Crikey! I thought I recognised the name, but I didn't know anything about the story behind it !
Sitting up straight now and paying attention ! 🙂

Excellent job Neil
Airfix 737.......I'm afraid I've trashed more of them than I ever finished ☹️

As I was about to say (before we were rudely interrupted), consider my gob to be well and truly smacked! I'm more than surprised by the size similarity, but then your eyes are drawn to the engines. 👀
Absolutely massive on the A350, and a far cry from those on the 707s and DC-8s that I grew up with.

OK Alex, you're obviously blitzing the server with your builds. It's like a DOS attack. I had a look at them all and this is my favourite.
But I like all of them. Keep them coming.
I haven't had a need to check into Airliners.net for two days now! 🤣

Thanks for sharing Alex.
Really like the Avianca markings, but then I was always a sucker for their "red-top" 707s

Wow ! Double-whammy !
I remember being blown away when the original kit was released and I was just a boy.
Fast forward 20 years and I remember flying on a Delta Tristar from Dallas / Fort Worth to Denver
I was using a Delta Pass and there weren't any available seats to get me from Atlanta to Denver, so I had to stump up money at the last minute to buy a regular ticket via Dallas / Fort Worth
There were no seats available in Economy so I had to pay extra to travel First Class
I travelled First Class
I was too stressed out to enjoy it
I arrived in Denver but my luggage wasn't on the carousel
It turned out that my luggage had been sent on an earlier flight
I managed to get into the hotel at 2am in the morning
The bus tour left at 7am
One of the best holidays I've ever had
So many emotions brought to the surface by your builds ✔️
Many thanks

Excellent stuff Ray
I have to admit that the A330-300 looks bigger than I thought. What is it like size-wise compared to you Finnair A350 ? (Subtle hint for a "with something else" shot 😀)
