Looks pretty flawless from where I'm sitting.
Really impressive - thanks for sharing.

Don't know how on earth I managed to miss this?
Absolute work of art.

Nice to see LACI aftermarket in action as two sets for different trijets have just landed at my place.
I'm also liking the 787 as I have a couple in the stash, but never seem to get around to building them.
Thanks for sharing.

Lovely stuff Martijn!
Brings back happy memories of the first time I saw an Il-62 up close at Lisbon Airport in the late 70s. The Aeroflot jet was making a stopover before heading out over the Atlantic to Havana.

1/72 Monogram F-105G with Hasegawa missiles, LP Models ladders and Caracal decals. Painted with Hataka Orange Line paints (after having to strip off my original attempt with acrylics)
Really enjoyed building this old kit, and now toying around with the idea of having another go with the Monogram 1/72 A-10 from the 70s 🤔
Four from the top:
...and a profile shot to finish off
Thanks for looking

Well worth the wait Sean.
Pretty much speechless regarding the build and presentation - simply flawless.
The figures were the cherry on the top, but now I've been earwigged by RAR "Sweet banana"

Cracking build and paint job 👍👍
Dare I say that it's one of the better "billboard" schemes ? 🤔

Excellent paint job !
Extraordinary masking job that must have been a lot harder than it looks

Another excellent build and finish of a classic plane in a classic scheme.
Love it 👍👍

Fantastic build and finish, Pete.
I have one of these in the stash, and you've given it some hope of ever being built - many thanks.

I'm afraid that it's been some time since I did any work on this as it had been temporarily shelved.
The flutter of excitement in seeing a 1/72 Poseidon at a recent club meeting, made me pull it down from the shelf and have another look.
I decided to strip the decals off the fuselage and freshen up the paintwork. Bit of masking involved on the cheatline before a light sanding and respray of white. Door outlines were redone and the leading edge of the tail was sprayed silver, before ending up with this :
Masking the white on the fuselage started with the bits under the cheatline :
...before wrapping the whole thing in foil (I've had a couple of bad experiences with masking tape residue on white paint before, so this is my attempt to avoid more tears) :
Say goodbye to the wing spars, as the wings have now been glued onto the fuselage:
The wing joints will need a little work to tidy them up before I can splash some more grey on the fuselage.
Hoping to get this completed during the course of the year, but I have a feeling that the Poseidon may very well get over the finish line first 😁

Based on the drawing, I think it would be fair to say that you have absolutely nailed it! 👍👍

Nothing like a nostalgia trip Alex, as I remember building a model of an Alitalia DC-8 some time ago; the first four engine jet that I ever flew on in 1973
Great to have all of the memorabilia to go with your build 👍👍

Brilliant stuff.
The anticipation is like smelling rain in the air (for those who lived there, you'll know what I'm talking about) 😁

Excellent! 👍👍
I have a couple in my stash, but I've never been brave enough to start either of them.

"....aahhh nostalgia, nothing today can touch the classy look of these old airline liveries!" - Ain't that the truth! I've been watching live airport feeds on Youtube recently, and I can't say that there was much that had me thinking "I have to build one of those !"
Now I'll have to crack on with that Roden Super VC-10 in the same livery to park alongside it! - 👍👍
Cracking build as usual, John. Looking forward to seeing the Super VC-10 and basking in more nostalgia.

Many thanks for taking the time to comment on the build - much appreciated. I'll post some responses to your comments as soon as I can.
I knew that the F-105 was big aircraft, but I didn't realise just how big it was!
